ok, I was getting the same error as CSDD......when I searched it off my profile I found it, but when I clicked to go to the page it it gave me the same error. I use Firefox, so I decided to try it through Explorer and it worked......kind of weird? Any ideas? EDIT: LOL..just went back into...
  2. basic Illustrator CS5 question

Or if your file is done and you just need to resize it, you can "expand" the stroke.
  3. Handyman taking sign work away?

Ok, found this pic I took over a year ago. Not the best off my phone, but wanted to point out the quality this guy went through, like actually bolting the wood through the camper shell window....lol The money he saved making his own sign, probably cost him his business? It was a great laugh...
  4. Print Vinyl for E-Z UP canopy

We use heat applied Thermoflex from Specialty Materials, as well as Stahls materials, and Spectra, I have used all three and some others, but these would be my favorites. Good luck!

  6. Help with this Font

Hey all, with so many fonts being close can not figure out this font, any help is greatly appreciated!
  7. Favorite Fonts. What's yours?

I don't have any specific, kind of like everyone else, whatever works with the design! But there is another shop that uses CANCUN on everything he does, I used to like the font, I don't even have it installed, and it drives me crazy when I see it used.
  8. Frosted hair when printing

Just for Men...only takes 5 minutes....lol Glad you got it fixed!!!!
  9. static cling profile in versworks

We use a generic calendar vinyl profile(ECVP) and cool the heater and dryer down about 5*c on each setting and it has worked great for us. The heat is key, too warm and the cling starts to bubble while printing, we learned the hard way :-)
  10. A friendly hello from Switzerland

Welcome from Cali, and Merry Christmas to you!

8ft has worked for us several times, on our vp540. Roll it out and back, see how it tracks, just make sure it stays straight and you should be ok. Good luck!
  13. Profile for Phototex, what are you using?

We have a vp540, and Versaworks, best profile we use ECVP: Economy Calendared Vinyl (SCM).....it has worked great! And we have printed over 20 roles this year!
  14. Countertop protector?

I don't think the mat will hurt you at all when squeegeeing. I have been using a mat for 10+ years, works great for us. We were going to try glass once, but the cost was more than the mat, and the idea of dropping tools on it was the other reason...lol Good luck!!
  15. Phototex Media

Awesome product! We have printed tons!!!!!!!!!!!! No issues!
  16. Just bought a 79 Z28...What would you do?

Why not do the original 3 stripe graphics on the side? http://www.phoenixgraphix.com/gm/1979z.htm I would not do blue paint, won't go with the interior, if you use black, use the gold stripes. I had a friend who had an '80 Z28 that was Copper, and it looked really sweet! Change the rims and...
  17. Embroidery Equipment

We have a 6 head and a 2 head, SWF machines, really wish we would have bought a 4 head instead of the 2 when we started. But the machines are awesome. When my nieces help out, our machines run about 14 hours a day. Embroidery work is almost always out there, just have to hustle and provide...
  18. Lost Job but I have a Roland Versacamm VP540

Welcome from Cali. I don't think any of us could type what all it entails, but without any experience, honestly it is going to be a long road for you! Not saying it can't be done, but you need a lot more than the printer. Good luck!
  19. Semi Doors, What you guys getting?

How much vinyl are you putting on for $100? Remember the value of a sign, not just material costs. Sounds cheap!
  20. Help Pricing -Removing Reflective vinyl

Tough to bid! I had a similar job for 8 vehicles. I told him I thought it would be a nightmare to remove, so I made him a deal, I would bill him for 3 hours on the first vehicle, if I was close to done we would have an idea, if not he would be better off taking it to a body shop to have them...
