my 1614 was doing the same thing and i changed the encoder strip after cleaning and re aligning a few times with no luck so i took off the back cover in the center so i could get to the encoder censor located on the top center of the head and like fat cat said i cleaned it real well did a few...
ive never had good luck with print and cut decals on a premium wrap film i use 3m primarily and sometimes avery1005ez. We us a cheap general formulations product called auto mark for all our flat surface print and cut decals and it works well on simple curves and rivets with no issue of lam or...
i dont see why cal vinyl on some poly metal wouldnt work fine but as gino said id be careful if someone other than you are going to be changing them out daily cause all it takes is one to fall and its your as*. Just make sure if you do they know ahead of time and have signed the proper paper...
This thread really cracked me up...i do a lot of install and have done a lot for my own company and others. I dont post on here much but this one made me want to. Whoever says that you need to remove rivets or has done this is just not informed to me and i dont mean that in a bad way, ive...
Yeah i have moved my 1614 a few times and we just lock the head and tape the lid down keep level when picking up and power on quick you will be fine just like everyone said the big things are the head and waste tank.
Get yourself flexi 10 my man dont waste your time with isis is so old you will never get anywhere i know the cash is an issue but its a pill youll have to swallow if you want to get to the results you need.
get roller window shades from sign world print on a light mesh banner itll block the sun and solve the advertising problem we did a big job with them a few months ago for a dry cleaning business they worked awesome and looked great.
I also use 951 on most cars sometimes i will use 751 its a really good cast, 651 is a great vinyl and i wouldnt tell you never to use it on a vehicle application but like cp signs said with me its just a piece of mind thing i know that if i use 951 the cost is more but it will last in the elements.
Every time i have a problem with my cutter reading the marks i put just regular old scotch tape over the cut marks and it reads em fine, guy i used to work for showed me it seems to work for me.

Fix it that on you man should always lay your work out a proof is one thing curves and fenders and real life are another. Re print smaller and re wrap LIVE AND LEARN.
Its def not the matching lam that is the only time i have seen it happen like you are talking about. We had a shop print a whole back of a dugout for us when we were doing an out of town install and they used 3m ij40c vinyl and a general formulations lam and it was coming apart from the word go...
