I just use an old swivel knife with a worn out blade in it and let the knife basically just score the aluminum slightly.

I used a 54" Versacamm at my old shop, and I have to say that it worked really well for us. It's also very useful in that it will plot as well as print. I would definitely recommend a Versacamm, and as SignMeUpGraphics said, it's almost always better to go bigger. GIves you more flexibility.

Does anybody know of a place that will buy back Canon/Oce Ink bags? Canon sent me five bags of IJC257 instead of IJC256 and won't let me exchange them since they are considered hazardous. I don't want to have to re-profile my printer for one bag change and then have to do it again later.

IMO Watchfire is about as good as they get. They are usually more expensive but they have very versatile user friendly software and are easy to work on. Daktronics are good too but I just like WF's software so much more.

Eco Sol is fine on perf film. I used to print on it all the time with a Roland VP540i at my old shop. We didn't laminate most perfs unless they were going to be up for an extended period of time. The customer we did them for the most usually switched them every 90 days or so so we didn't bother.

I just upgraded to X8 last month. Haven't had any issues so far. I had X5 which was crashing all the time. Thanks for posting, I will keep an eye out for this.

I got some corrugated plastic in recently that was fluted on the 48" side. I didn't order it myself but it caught my attention for that very reason. I'll see if I can find out where it came from. Usually we get ours from Grimco.

For gas pricers, Watchfire and Daktronics are the best. I personally like Watchfire a little better from a software standpoint but both are good.
