The encoder sensor and strip are what tell the main board where the head is. Try simply moving the head all the way to the left of the machine and then powering on. If it still errors out immediately or shortly after moving and in random spots, you probably have an encoder issue. If it errors...
Exactly. It's kind of counter intuitive. It means the sub tank isn't filling so you probably have a clogged tube between the cartridge and sub tank and/or an empty cartridge that isn't flagging as empty.
The error 68 means the CR encoder sensor isn't reading the encoder strip properly. Make...
The only setting I can think of is the UV Mode setting in the Setup menu. The ON setting runs the lamps normally. The off setting prints without turning the lights on. The No Print option is the only one I've never tried but it turns the lamps on without printing. I wonder if you set it to that...
Just got the email from Bordeaux. They're doing a 10% temporary fee starting June 1st so that they can remove it if/when any changes with the tariffs happen.
You probably just need to change the main board battery. It's the little watch type battery on the board. If it's dead, it doesn't keep the system parameters saved which basically resets it back to it's initial state when you power off.
The other board is toast unless you can find someone to...
Turn the machine off and take all of the cartridges out. Then boot the printer back up. Once it boots up completely, install each cartridge one at a time. Sometimes that takes care of this issue.
There should be an option in the cutting tab to put the marks around the entire nest or individual files. I can't remember what the setting is called off the top of my head but I am pretty sure it's there.
One of my favorite methods to do a color to black gradient is to use the transparency settings in AI. You make a rectangle and set it to your red color. Then copy and paste the rectangle in front. Now you make the top rectangle a white to black gradient and then set the transparency setting for...
There's a line cut in the platen on the right side that the vinyl can't go past or it gives this error. It's very sensitive on this machine so even a slight bit crossing the line will cause it. You just need to move the vinyl over to the left until you can see that line.
The type of cable won't matter as Windows 10 can automatically sense which cable it is and adjust as needed. Your most likely issue is the computer's network is setup on a different subnet than the printer. The first 3 sets of numbers in the IP addresses have to match and the last one has to be...
Rasterlink has that. They're called, "favorites" and you can save that setting in one of your favorites. There's also an adjustment in the printer service mode that allows you to do a permanent scan distance adjustment. It basically calibrates your motor to the encoder since each one is a little...
At the sign shop I worked in, we hemmed every edge with grommets every 24" for the most part. We did temporary sponsor banners that were used for about a week for a hot air balloon festival that we only hemmed the sides with grommets in each corner though.
Make sure the latest Mimaki driver is installed: https://mimaki.com/archives/032/MimakiDriver-v5.9.10-64bit.exe
For some reason Mimakis are finicky without the latest driver, even on ethernet.
Setting up an account for FedEx, UPS, and USPS is fairly easy. FedEx and UPS will send you free rolls of labels but you would need to purchase a label printer. You can find used ones on Ebay but even new ones are cheap. FedEx and UPS will also send you free boxes and envelopes but they are for...
