Maybe you resolved this already but you could also try loading the plotter into gspplot as a generic gpgl or hpgl machine instead of the actual model?

Does your printer have media clips? Maybe the left clip is warped and making contact with the head on the back pass causing ink displacement and transfer to the media? Happened on our Epson before.

We recently upgraded to 5 but were running 2.6 on 3 seperate windows 7 machines for 5+ years with no problems. As mentioned above, we may have put them in windows XP mode when installing but I can't recall for sure. This may be more critical on the print/cut version than just a design station.

We got out first printer 6 years ago. Would never go back. I have 5 bodies out of 8 in the building that know how to run the printers. I have one main body (production) that is responsible for printing and production and the other 4 of us monitor and hop in where necessary.

I disagree, someone who went to school for carpentry or metal fabrication is just as likely to make that magnet mistake as the guy who's learned on his own.
