    I knackered a head (dx4) on my Mimaki. Messing about cleaning I got solvent on the Ribbon Cable which ran down to the head board. Nozzle print started to fade more and more until nothing.... sounds like you might have done the same

    I have that cutter.. I don't have any trouble with the quality on heat transfer material - prob just need a new blade. The problems I usually get with the Mutoh is when it decides not to read the reg marks (bad epos)

    Encoder Strip - Mine was banding like that once, and it was a blob of cyan on the encoder strip. Worth a try first anyway...

  10. Overspray on new head

    Its looking like it's the Slider Board. I swapped magenta and cyan over at the slider board and the overspray issue moved to the Magenta head. It's just odd that after printing about 300mm of overspray the head starts working perfectly. And then runs fine all day...? Thanks Mike for the help...

    have you tried swapping the magenta data cables over to see if the right side of the head works ?
