Yes, flexi still sees it as a bitmap but its transparent so flexi can put the contour cut around it. You will never get the layers into flexi.

Rasterize it as a tranparent. select bitmap now your eyecandy will work just did it with 8.6

Easy problem to fix can't believe no-one knew the answer. You need to change the size of the desktop for the wide screen to one that fits ie. 1600x1200. You are using a size that is designed for a square monitor not the widescreen.

Also do a few different colors in large blocks. Seems some colors are more subseptable to banding ie. green, orange. You may also want to try the same shades but different types of colors ie. rgb,cmyk & spot colors. Make sure you remember what prints best and always use that in the future.

We prefer the flexi 8.6 rip to versa.... but sometimes on real big files Flexi will rip then nothing happens and it says done in the production manager. That is the only time we export to versa to print with our vp-540

Try going to the advanced tab in production manager, then click color settings, then goto rendering intent tab. Now if its a vector you are trying to print click on the pure hue for the vectors and select the black and white boxes and try again. I hate printing grey!
