  1. Vehicle Wrap - Help/opinion

This is how the Matte Orange (or saffran yellow as its called) Oracal 970RA looks in real life. I bought a roll to wrap my own small car, but only did the rear hatch before I changed my mind about it :) Looks good, but its more satin than matte really. You can see on the lower left edge of the...
  2. matte white material for wraps

Oracal has a matte orange in their car wrap series, 970. I actually ordered a roll of this yesterday for my own car. It is called saffron yellow matte, but its a very orangey yellow. It is available in both regular 970 and 970RA with air release channel. Got this information confirmed yesterday...
  3. Problems with Tracking

Update, got hold of this spray from a audiophile friend (remembered he bought it when we were flatmates while I studied graphic design years back), http://www.nordost.com/ECO-3-P67.asp and it worked like a charm! Now it runs as smoothly as ever, and I got to finish my order. Weird problem and...
  4. Problems with Tracking

I don't think either of those options could explain the bad tracking? On small details yes, but if you see the difference on the first and second image, all the cuts should start on a straight line, but they are staggered almost half an inch for every repeat cut.
  5. Problems with Tracking

Luckily I use the search function before starting new threads, because I was just about to make a new thread stating ALL of the symptoms in the first post here! I have a GX-24 with just the same problems all off a sudden. Looks like this when its cutting...
  6. Betsy at 3M...

I think Betsy from 3M has been scared away from the forum over another 3M issue perhaps? :)
  7. Free Osama Vector Art

    Anyone into anagrams here? Because:
  8. foam backed interior letters?

I would use 3M VHB doublesided tape for this.
  9. Simulated Wood?

http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Graphics/Scotchprint/Solutions/Applications/InteriorEnvironments/Di-Noc-Film/ProductGallery/ 3M still offer over 600 different finishes on their Di-noc vinyl on the current website at least? Ordered some just a few months back here in norway, and that...
  10. Squeegees - what kind do you use?

I ordered the starter pack, and the wrap juice came included, have not gotten to try it out yet (doing very little wraps over here). But its basically a lubricant to use on your fingers while working the vinyl wrap into profiles and such, instead of using low-stick gloves or squeegees. This...
  11. Squeegees - what kind do you use?

I ordered a set of Geek Wraps squeegees after seeing a positive review of them on this forum. And now they are the only ones I use, top quality and a supernice feature of a small metal strip inside the microfiber so they stick to the GW magnets that hang on the car anyway, no more putting them...
  12. Roland CutStudio won't print images?

I did a search for this problem, but could not find any similar subjects. I have a GX-24 plotter (6 months old, came bundled with CutStudio software) and I recently bought an Epson 7890 A1 (24inch) printer in order to make contourcut small decals and such. It prints beautifully from Photoshop...
  13. Transit Connect Wrap

I have not wrapped any Connects, but I have applied cut graphics to dozens of them, they have been on sale over here in europe for about 10 years now. There are 3 horizontal inward bulges/profiles in the lower part of the body, between the wheels. Depending on design, this may be a problem...
  14. What font might this be?

    That looks spot on! :thankyou:
  15. What font might this be?

I need to add some text in the same style/font as this, but I'm stumped on identifying the font.. But maybe some of you will know what it is?
  16. does anybody know what material this is?

It's the KPMF vinyl I linked to in a earlier post in this thread.
  17. does anybody know what material this is?

Just a small update on this, I was over at a friend that I sold my first plotter to, he had a roll of this vinyl, so I got a small sample from him. Took a small piece and applied it to a Coke bottle just to test, it was pretty workable even without heat (but if you stretch it too much, the...
  18. Can we talk about my logos?

Hmm.. this typeface and style looks kinda familiar.... Only one of these, however, is a timeless design
  19. Ford Transit Connect (the new baby sprinter)

Just a little update from me, I posted this design earlier in this thread, the client went for the design with a few small modifications: I did 3 Transit Connects, and a regular Transit Sport. Today I took a couple of pics since one of the Connects was in my drive when I finished up their...
  20. Font help please (probably an easy one)

But in all seriousness, thanks for the help. It's 8pm here in Norway, and getting indoors from 12 hours installing out in the snow has taken a toll on my font id'ing capabilities (and possibly english grammar). Just time for a meal, then its out to the garage to tint some windows. But can't...
