Arg. Error message again this morning. I found out the cable is over 6 years old. Going to replace it next.

I like the concept and think you're off to a good start. I especially like the icon on the pen application. I personally would not worry about any inference to ink leaking. I would definitely make the ink blot all one color though. This will provide more contrast and simplicity. I agree...

No error message this morning. Doug, if you are ever in my neck of the woods let me know and I'll buy you a beer. I'll update if the message pops up again, hopefully won't. I'm still going take some canned air to the hard drive. Thanks again Doug.

This morning the error message was up again. I unplugged the network cable and cleaned where it is connected to the flatbed. If the message pops up again, I will do more cleaning around the oce's hard drive, if it still persist I will unplug at the other two points of connection. Will post...

Howdy from the Northern Minnesota. Sounds like it could be a gamut of various issues. I'd call tech support of whatever type that makes the most sense. If your Mimaki is under warranty I'd start with them.

Tim called it. This effect is in Illustrator. I have not played with it other then to find it for this thread. Not sure, but I'm guessing you could copy the text, apply your effect, edit your chisel angles (similar to below), and paste the original text (without the effect) back and place it...

3D > Extrude and bevel > 0 rotation Bevel> complex four, move with direct select tool to get rid of extra plane.
