Here's mine. I'm small and startup in a fairly niche, motorcycle road racing market.

I use clear transfer tape to create templates. then stick it on white colored background with a measuring tape anywhere and take a photo from above. then in illustrator, scale so the tape in the picture is 1:1 and draw my shape with the pen tool. so, you're on the right track.

I was trying to open Attachment 95738 I can open the pdf. Thought the above attachment was the brush itself. no big deal really. i just think it's awesome that somebody actually shares something with others :)

I buy from Advantage, Fellers, and Earl Mich in Wood Dale. Actually, I always try Earl Mich first :) Support the local, small business guy first.

I would ask on their forums. I assure you the functionality is still there. I kept CS6 for a while, just in case, and until I figured out the "other" quirks, but it's all there.

I will get a roll of paper tape for the big stuff. Clear works for smaller decals pretty well. most of my customers are motorcycle racers and like to align the sponsor logos and they all say they *love* the clear tape. Hahahaha. Actually never made it to one :) I moved here about 2 years ago...

Mine were die cut pieces like this one. 24 x 36 (black rider) transfer tape very much needed :( I tried the trailer graphic. It was a catastrophe to transfer tape. Would never do a trailer die cut graphic again :banghead: (customer applied it)

If an order is big enough, i throw in a free squeegee and tell them to lay it flat to relax and squeegee out anything that lifted off the backing. it just can't be good for vinyl to be off of it for days, so it's still a problem. i was really hoping somebody would just tell us we're doing...

I roll them outward and i get that same problem. i know exactly what Joe means. I use clear transfertape.

I prefer Illustrator to Flexi, and since the graphtec cutting master 2 is compatible with CC, i decided to give it a try. it helps that I teach part time and can get a subscription for $21. I am not using any of the new features yet, and ready to downgrade to CS6 if needed. I figured $21 is not...

Ask the customers to save as CS6. If you try opening in CC, you see that you get a flat, uneditable file which is a complete BS, as I'm sure you already tried. Good luck and let us know if you come up with a better solution.

I have the same problem with both avery and a house brand white intermediate vinyl. i *hate* weeding white. I never thought about the backing paper, i always thought the other colors have more "weight" and are thus easier to weed.

I'd say it's a setting. I attached a pic with text and an object. unless i misunderstood you.

Wow!!! Thanks guys for all the infos on the site. As to "stealing images," Javascript is useless, so is Flash nowadays, because anybody can take a screenshot. One good thing is left, but barely usable now and barely anybody ever knew about it. If your image is in a table. set it as a cell...

I gave up on it :( I print and cut, then just separate them all manually. I assume that there are tools, but my volume wouldn't justify the purchase. Good luck!
