Sometimes that has happened to me, and I just duplicate the file in Windows Explorer and add the (dot) AI extension at the end, and then Illustrator can open it., Hey it has worked for me. You can also sometimes place it into a PDF document.

Is firmware upgrade something a user can do? My SP540v has never had the firmware upgraded so I wanted to try the install myself, but on the same note, I don't want tot mess up my printer. What say you SP-540v users?

Problem was the default heat setting in VW, changed it and the banner material is printing fine NOW. Thanks for you suggestions....
