  1. LCD Monitor shuts off after 1 sec.

Maybe this thing is garbage, I don't know, just thought I would check to see if anyone knew what the problem could be. I came into the shop this morning to a black (blank) monitor screen (I leave it on all the time). The little green light is still on, and if I turn the monitor off and then...
  2. Christmas Week Phone Calls

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to try this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5z4Vs26-TI If you've never heard the Tom Mabe telemarketer prank I suggest you listen to this, it is freakin hilarious!
  3. Business card layout

Um, this looks like a generic layout/logo for a tattoo shop or motorcycle shop, not a professional electrician. Just saying I would try to push the customer towards a more professional image, this just doesn't cut it. And if you are stuck with using the west coast choppers logo, I would at...

  5. Thoughts on this

I appreciate everyone's input on this! It really helped me a lot, just look at my first post and what it came out to be as a final draft, all from your suggestions, I think it turned out great. I am finished with it, customer loves it. Thanks for all the help!
  6. Thoughts on this

I agree.... even though it is chunky as hell, it really does help it and it is much easier to read from a distance. Better contrast with the light colored lettering, thank you!!!

  10. Thoughts on this

thanks, I just threw that city in there to show where it will be, I don't like it yet either, I will try a couple different color combos because I am not liking the yellow at all....

Another try, thanks to weaselboogie for the wrench!
  12. Thoughts on this

It was my sorry attempt at giving dimension to the wrench, kinda like it is closer in the front at the nut end.... just ended up looking skewed/distorted. I appreciate you letting me use your wrench! Looks a lot better than mine, which I tried to draw from a photo.
  13. Thoughts on this

I will try the closed end/combination wrench, and thin out the outline, post back in a few
  14. Thoughts on this

Does the wrench work? What do you think overall?
  15. For you digital sign guys

wow, that is awesome. Not for the drunken billiards that I play, I would probably throw up on the table, but it is still cool.
  16. Getting an in house laminator on a budget...opinions needed.

Don't know which one you were using, mine has a take-up reel, and have never needed 2 people to run it, and even pressure has never been a problem. Only problem I have ever had with it was when I first bought it, the drive belt always jumped, they replaced that belt on the next model with a...
  17. Getting an in house laminator on a budget...opinions needed.

Have you looked at the Daige Quickmount? A 38" machine will run less than $2k with a stand and foot pedal (around $1700 I think). I have been using mine for almost 5 years and it has been a great machine. Great for mounting prints, but I mainly just use it for laminating. Many will talk trash...

Thanks, you got me scrambling to look at everything thats come off the printer....:iamwithstupid
  19. It's going to be a loooong weekend...

thanks everyone, this job couldn't have come at a better time for me, January is usually one of my slowest months and I don't have anything real big lined up for after Christmas, so this job is a little security for me. After that, I just have to worry about Feb and March before the spring rush...

A net profit on this order of about $5k is a good 6 days for me! Just hope my printer doesn't decide to take a crap on me over the weekend..... that would be really bad
