nice touch with the firearms and booze
  2. epson printer, maxx black ink?

i own this system and it has been great until just recently the heads are completely clogged. Test prints are blank and cleanings are no use. Really upset because it prints great films, black is almost 100% opaque even against light.
  3. need some help with silvering?

With some polycarb faces, after pulling off the protective plastic sheet from the surface, the panel needs to outgas for while (overnight I think), otherwise hundreds of tiny bubbles will pop up in your graphics (I learned the hard way). Could this be a similar situation? Are the bubbles showing...
  4. Thoughts on this???

cannot believe I read this entire thread.... Mosh, I am not buying it. You are probably laughing your ass off at all these fools, or, maybe you are the fool. I just can't tell at this point, but I am calling bull$h*t either way....
  5. a proposed yard sign

Not the greatest contrast and the wording around the perimeter is distracting to me. If this is for yard signs placed around town, I would think that the message is pretty much lost completely. I would focus on what the primary message is and take out all the rest.
  6. I don't TWEET, therefor I have a life.

Thanks for the link! Just posted it for my Facebook/Twitter fans
  7. I don't TWEET, therefor I have a life.

  10. business card layout

if a s101 newb posted anything resembling this layout you all would tear him a new one. No offense but I think it is horrendous. At least I am being honest.
  11. Tee shirt artwork

Very nice work as usual! On a related note, when you print these shirts will you use an opaque red ink - 2 passes or will you print the red atop of a white underbase? Just curious, I am still learning silkscreening (after 2 years of messing around with it).
  12. A good way to get a customer to call is:

    how true :ROFLMAO:
  13. How is business....

Not doing too bad here, I am a one man shop for about half of the year, the rest of the year a two man shop. I had a GREAT Sept. and Oct. (doubled my numbers from last year, which were horrible). With the work I have right now, I will be in good shape through December. After last fall (the...
  14. Contracting Logo

Overall, l don't like it. It lacks contrast, white and off-white don't help legibility. Also think you should use a different font for the bottom line. What is that thick black stroke around the whole logo for?
  15. Shop Organization

For the past few months I have been using Microsoft OneNote on a tablet pc to organize everything. It works great. You can have as many "notebooks" as you need, with separate sections (leads, quotes, jobs, etc.) and each job gets it's own page (or group of pages). As each job changes stages...
  16. Logo Design Process Examples

I found this very informative, great for anyone wishing to improve on their logo design skills http://pixelactic.com/2009/08/16-logo-design-processes-of-top-logo-designers/ BTW for all you Twitter haters, I found this article in a TWEET! This is the kind of stuff that I enjoy about Twitter...
  17. Source for 4-5" thick foam letters?

I am quoting a job right now for the inside of a shopping mall, customer wants his 12" letters to be 5" thick.... I think 5" thick is a bit much, but he is pretty set on this, and I want to at least be able to quote it for him (letters will be mounted to the facade of his store). I have already...
  18. I don't TWEET, therefor I have a life.

BTW Over the weekend, Twitter opened up a new feature: LISTS. Lists allow you to group people that you follow into LISTS, that can be public (everyone can see the list from your profile) or private (only you can see the list). This seems like a very basic feature, but it adds a new dimension to...
  19. I don't TWEET, therefor I have a life.

Bingo! :clapping: If you don't like it, stay away and keep it to yourself. If you haven't found anything of any value in social networking, then you aren't looking in the right places, or are too ignorant to learn of it's real value/purpose.
  20. Social media is really taking shape, check this out

I am sure that there is a very meaningful statement buried in there, I am just not able to translate this morning.
