If you have the corrugated metal to measure just run a piece of tape down it going into the valleys. Mark / cut the ends then lay it out on a flat surface and measure. ..... This would be the most accurate way of measuring.

I use Chrome... zoom in as close as you can in 2D mode. Right click on your first point and there is an option to measure distance. Click your second point and it will give you the measurement.

I just switched from 8508 to 8048 about 2 months ago because everyone was saying how much better it was. Keep us informed..... I may go back to the 8508 for cheap stuff.
