Not sure about stainless but titanium ones are used on sprint cars in the racing world if you can find a racing dealer near you that deals with sprint car stuff.

Make sure when he says he's taking care of removal it's down to the paint and just ready for a wipe down. More than once I've had customers say they are taking care of removal but then bring it in and all of the old adhesive is still left.

Have the banner made with 4" bleed and 4" pole pockets. Use conduit and ratchet straps and attach it to mounting points on the back of the structure.

Overlays are fine, just keep in mind if it is going over any design that you use should use a vinyl that is opaque and does not allow the background colors to bleed through it.
