It appeared to have a liquid laminate. The graphics were pretty glossy and the ink seemed durable and pretty scratch resistant. The paperwork that came with the graphics though didn't state anything about having a liquid laminate and they were still a pain to install without an actual film...
So, I have a buddy that has a couple businesses in the trucking industry. One is a delivery service using refrigerated vehicles and the other is repairing, maintaining and servicing reefer units. He was looking at adding some other services to their business including installing wraps as he has...
As said above you can make your own gradients. Most "effects" that we do are actually "fills" or high resolution raster images that are imported in and masked. You can find them on websites like shoolofracinggraphics.com or any of the stock image websites such as shutterstock, istock, etc.
Right click on the one that you have open. Click on Open Table. Should be the file called Default. In the file bar it should be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\SAi\SAi Production Suite Cloud\Swatch\Table
I switched to the 510GT about a year ago due to constant head strikes on my HP 360 with the cheap Avery and Briteline vinyls. It prints great and I usually don't laminate unless the customer is wanting a glossy finish but I only use it for short term stuff like coroplast signs and temporary...
Since this thread has started I have switched to Arlon DPF 510GT and have ran through 10+ rolls of it and have had good luck with it. Very, very rarely will I get a head strike. It's $0.17 a square foot and what I use on coroplast / temporary signage. I had bad luck with the Briteline also. I...
ACM would be my choice although you can get clean edges with Alumacorr if you wrap the edges with vinyl or use trim cap. I rarely use PVC for outdoor signage.
I always choose ONE body line that seems to fit the vehicle best and reference everything off of that. Windows, roof lines and body lines are hardly ever parallel to each other so I normally choose the one closest to being level or seems to flow with the overall general body lines of the vehicle...
This truck should be pretty easy. I would remove the emblem and use knifeless tape around the handle. My go to materials would be 3M 180mC and RTape 4075RLA.
If you are going to be doing quite a bit of stripes, keep in mind that going over front and rear bumpers or crazy shapes in the body is...
My policy is that I do not start artwork until the estimate is approved, signed and deposit is made unless the customer is paying for the artwork before committing to the full job. I stay very busy and don't have the extra time to create artwork for free for tire-kickers. I used to try and do a...
We laminate just about all vinyl. The only exception is stuff that is temporary or short term like for coro / foamcore signage. Then you have to figure out what laminates to use to match the life expectancy of the product you are selling. We use our laminator for more than just installing...
I just install on top of the laminate. Depending on the opacity of the vinyl you are using a white background may make it stay brighter vs putting it on top of a dark color although I usually just print a color or fill similar to the overlay at actual size. It makes registration easy using a...
Does it need to be the ultra metallic or regular metallic? Not sure if it helps but I have been switching from Avery 900 to 3M 180mC and the 3M 180mC metallic satin aluminum is almost identical to the Avery SC 900 metallic silver.
Mine does not move them when I minimize Flexi to the taskbar...... maybe before you shut your monitor off make a habit of minimizing it to the task bar and see if that works.
Every once in a great while it does it on it's own. If I hit the icon to maximize the window it will rearrange them. I also run a 3 monitor setup and if I drag the window from one screen to the next it will rearrange them. It's very annoying and I never could find any kind of way to lock them in...
