Fair assumption based on the information you have. You only see the banding when you put a piece of optical plastic over an interlaced print - its not visible otherwise. Its a difference between the actual DPI of the machine and the LPI (lenticules per inch) of the optical plastic.

Interesting. So it lists the resolution as 601 not 601.183 so I would need to find the difference between those two numbers and use that to adjust the scale? So I would be looking for a value of 100.0304 it seems. Is that what you were imagining?

Curious to hear useful features for the technical lay-person. Obviously there is a lot you do not ever want to touch and would have no reason to. Currently I have a need to turn off specific heads for the purpose of trouble shooting something, can this be done through the service menu?

24 hours seemed to have offered some improvement in adhesion and hardness but it is still softer than the colors. Its a multi-layer flood white, perhaps that is an unfair comparison with a single layer color image. A 1:1 test is probably the next logical step.

Thanks for the perspectives. I am using an ultrasonic humidifier with some extensions of 4" PVC and it seems to work well though the humidity is definitely more localized to the area around the unit. I think the plan is to move it closer to the machine and leave it run all the time based on feedback

Those of you who control humidity do you keep your space to a constant % all the time or do you turn it off when you are not there? I guess its a question of how long it takes humidity to reduce static.

So you should be able to assign spot colors to CMYK so that you could jet a pure line of cyan for example, but how would you do that for lc or lm on a 6 color printer? Is it possible to constrain a Oce Arizona to only use a fixed drop size of 7pl? I know having varied drop sizes can in many circumstances be preferable but I have a test I would like to make if it can be done. Would you expect this to be a printer level adjustment or something in the RIP?
