I am about to take possession of an Oce 2280 and will probably go with an Onxy RIP based on some advice about color proofing. But I know there are different versions and licensing options so I would appreciate some advice. Do you have to buy the RIP with licensing for the particular printer you...
Appreciate the comment. They also couldn't provide a service record, not giving me good vibes overall. This is being sold from someone who resells machines regularly, hard to account for why these basic things aren't being taken care of.
Can a Arizona 2280 with 2x C and M (and no lc, lm) still print using "Fine Art Print Speed?" A seller with a machine is saying he can't print in this mode and its because the lc and lm aren't installed. Seems weird, but I can't understand why he would say this unless he doesn't have a profile...
Lenticular printing. Under the magnification of the lenticular sheet dots are magnified and will give a grainy/shimmery appearance where CM are used in lighter areas.
The question is in the subject. I seem to see people running CC MM and not lc lm, but in at least one user manual it says you can use the light inks. I require them for my application and there is the potential for good deal on a used 480. Anybody have experience...
Curious about peoples experiences with this machine. Its not extremely popular but a used machine has come up on my radar at a price worth considering. The other machine that does what we want is the Oce 2280 - which will almost certainly have better service but does not have LED lamps. Thoughts?
Zach Starr, you sound like a commercial for Stratojet. BTW Vanguard has won awards the last few years for several of its models, not sure about Stratojet. I'd love to hear that Stratojets are great but I don't hear many people talking about them.
If you look at Global Garage for machines of that age you might be disappointed to see so many listings for so cheap. I think if you list it for $15k you will be at an average price for a machine like that but I have seen listings between $7k - $30k.
End application is hanging signage. We ended up settling on foam core that was mounted with the most minimal amount of pressure, it didn't solve the problem but it is better than what we were seeing with the Sintra. Surprisingly we also mounted the artwork to coroplast after the fact and it was...
I have a glossy, thin (.033") printed PETG sheets that I need to mount to a 3mm-3/16" substrate. The laminator is running fine and the technician is skilled but we are getting a relatively uniform wavy pattern across the surface of the print. We typically mount to rigid plastics, in this case we...
I feel pretty strongly that it is static related given your description and the pics. I know humidity can play a big role, do you have a humidifier? How about blowing it off with an anti-static gun? The most difficult thing would be to install an after market anti-static bar on the machine itself,
Thanks, good to hear your experience, it certainly is the machine that ticks all the boxes for us with the exception of LED UV, which is annoying but workable. These machines don't come up used all that often and when they have there has been wildly different amounts of use, like the difference...
