  1. Volume discount?

Finally, someone that is dealing in reality! As single banner, we'd be about $200. for an order of 200, I could sell them for 50% off and still have a profit into the 5 figures, even if I used a trade printer, saving me all the production work.
  2. Volume discount?

Seriously? That might be easy to say as a national chain that doesn't see such an order as a must win. It's also a very Canadian attitude, which is why we as a country are losing competitive ground to the likes of US businesses. :Canada 2: For this shop, such an order has the potential of...
  3. What about sidewalk wraps?

Actually, the document you are referencing is from Dec 2009. The most recent one on the actual Avery Website is from June 2010: http://www.na.averygraphics.com/PDFs/PD_Sheets/PDS_MPI_6121_Street.pdf Clearly states Solvent, Mild/Eco Solvent, UV Inks.
  4. What about sidewalk wraps?

Not exactly correct. From the Avery Website - "It is receptive to solvent and eco-solvent inks" I've tried the product with a sample roll from Proveer, and got very good results. Printed on my Roland VP-540.
  5. 3m 1080

ND Graphics. They have an office here in Vancouver, just a few hours north of you.
  6. Di-noc Carbon fiber.

We buy ours from 2 different sources, Western Rim and ND Graphics. Western Rim's prices were higher, but they stocked all the colours, where as ND only supplies our Black and White. I was also informed of a price increase, so I stocked up on as much as they had available at the old price. If...
  7. iPhone 4 Skin - Vector Outline .ai

That's not a great template, but I guess it does the job. We made our own, including the bumper.
  8. small carbon fiber wrap/apply jobs

We go through between 20 and 30 yards a week of the Di-Noc. I just love the stuff - great margins! We do mostly phone skin kits, but have thought of getting into the car side of things recently as well. Just curious, do you prefer the Oracal over the 3M Di-Noc? Personally, I like the Di-Noc...
  9. 3M DI-NOC vs. Oracal 975 Carbon

Our local suppliers have both in stock, and sell by the yard. I've bought a bit of both to try out. First of all, the Oracal stuff was considerably more expensive than the 3M, which I thought was odd. I seem to remember the 3M being $3 per sqft, and the Oracal being closer to $6 per sqft...
  10. PhatWall's final logo

Looks considerably better, and actually rather usable as a logo. I would say, based on the OP's logo and name, they are going for the young, urban, street look. Nothing wrong with that at all, it can actually set him apart from his local peers. That said, he'll have to brush up on his skills...
  11. PhatWall business card design

A bit of constructive criticism, since you asked... Personally, I'm a big fan of keeping it simple, especially when it comes to business cards. Clients rarely, if ever, look at a business card to see what services you offer. They use the card to get your name and contact info, period. I...
  12. How well does your roland cut after laminated?

I haven't had that sort of problem with my VP, the cuts seem to be bang on, laminated or not. Perhaps the optical sensor that lines up the registration marks is malfunctioning or dirty? Have you checked and calibrated the cutting head?
  13. Lemonade Stand Banner

Very nice work GG, I like the pink! I actually contemplated a pink background, but went back to the yellow to keep with the Lemon theme. I was sort of going for the old-time look, since most of the stuff I do is bright and high impact. This style really isn't my forte, so it was fun just to...
  14. Lemonade Stand Banner

    Couldn't agree more.
  15. Lemonade Stand Banner

Those were my thoughts actually as well, but I was trying to go for something subtle, and when I had black outlines on the lettering, it took away from the look. The design does utilize Drop Shadows on all the lettering, however, again, it was dialled back. I actually found this project good...
  16. Lemonade Stand Banner

With the summer heat hitting, our neighbour's kids (2 & 4 years old) set up a lemonade stand. They are apparently saving to buy some sort of Hamster toy. I figured I'd help out by supplying a banner, as they didn't have any signage last time around! While I realize there probably isn't any...
  17. License to make and sell vehicle manufacturer's decals

Gino doesn't like it when you edit.
  18. Hexis vinyl - what do you know about it?

Just curious who is carrying Hexis in Canada? I had to contact their US office, just waiting for the samples and pricing.
  19. color matching poroblem

You can pick them up at your nearest Staples. I use mine daily to solve all sorts of issues.
  20. Print Shop Window layout

Now that is a cool idea.
