Try to open it up in Photoshop and let it do its thing (rasterising) and save it as a jpeg and print it. This worked for some small banners for me. I think as a PDF from photoshop also worked.

Does it show a grayscale option. In flexi it has CMYK CMYKLcLm and the grayscale. It is hard to print a nice B&W picture with CMYK. Grayscale works a lot better.

I would say +1 to all of these and I print on a converted CJ. Way easier to get a nice print on matte media unless you go with a high end cast media.
