Thank you for the Replies. I have changed the capping station, new wipers, new pump. I am on Bulk Traingle inks. Have not changed a damper... Did the "Fill" print test from the Service menu. Blk, Magenta, and yellow all solid. The Cyan was full of banding, and the Black has "Overspray" around it.

Did a print test from the service menu, and the Cyan is not printing. Dealer says I need a new print head. Can I change this myself? I am very mechanically inclined...Dealer says they need to do it??

I have been printing with triangle for almost 2 years now...never had this problem before...

Changed pump and suction cups, no change. WEIRD thing is the Crop Mark "Line" ( about 2 pts ) looks like a Spiderweb on the top and bottom of the print... Any other suggestions...we have been down for 2 days and this is killin' me.

54" printer. Print a test print about 12-16" across...looks good. But when I print a test 46"-50" across, we get banding. ALSO, it looks like "Overspray" on the "white" letters/area in the solid colors, AND around the edges of the print. Also...got a few Black ink drops on the print. ...

I had cleaned my strip many times too, but the photo eye was VERY dirty.

Just cleaned mine today as it was doing the same thing. Did the compressed air thing 2 weeks ago, but problems again today. I removed the strip, cleaned it with Iso alcohol, removed the encoder board, soaked a lint free cloth with the alcohol, and cleaned between it too, went into service mode...

If you are doing work for a "Dealer', they have access to all of BRP's logos, etc.

I am having problems with Illust. opening "PSD" files over 200 meg in size ( it says not enough memory ). It will open a 1.2 gig tiff or illust. file, but not the psd. Any ideas???? Twin zeon 3.2's with 4 gig ram

Welcome...from your neighbor. Are you new to the sign biz?? EDIT...well...after reading this and posting, I read the other post. I have to agree with the comments...as a sign guy that that has paid his dues ( and continues to do so... ), works to support a family, pays insurance, etc, it does...

It takes forever to open and save files...say a 600 to 900 meg file, 2 to 5 mins. I have a dual Xeon 3.2, 4 gigs of ram, fast drives ( not full ), and just installed a 256 meg video card...still a poodle when it comes to saving files. Any suggestions, or is this just the way it is??

A "BFH" or a "Chopper" tool....LOL!!! Sorry...feelin' frisky....lol. Most metal like that is bent on a very expensive metal rolling machine or a press brake ( were talking $2-7k, plus the experience to run them ). Why don't you just by them from your sign supplier??
