  1. UJF series. How to print white base?

In the special plate menu you can tell Rasterlink to put a white back for the whole image. The valid pixel option will put white behind any pixel that isn't clear or has no color value. The picture below shows the menu you want to be in. You can also use Rasterlink Tools for Illustrator or...
  2. Grainy prints after new head installed. ( Mimaki cjv150 )

If you push the head out over the platen, does the gap between the head and platen look even?
  3. Using Magnetic Material Tips

The problem with magnetic is, is the convenience of not having to print on vinyl and then laminating it on the magnet worth a possible head crash costing $$$$ in repairs? The answer will be different depending on how much risk you're willing to take and how much you're making on the magnets. A...
  4. Grainy prints after new head installed. ( Mimaki cjv150 )

In the slant adjustment, the main concern is getting the cyan and magenta dots on the same horizonal plane. Since yours are overlapping, it is correct. Post a picture of the graininess.
  5. Creating complex weeding lines

I'd ask them if they are ok with it being printed on clear with a white back layer on the dots. Should yield similar results with a lot less work.
  6. Roland UV EUV ink has a "dangerous" rating?

The official end of life for the Roland LEJ-640FT, which uses this ink, is October 2025. So, according to Roland's policy, the ink should be available until then.
  7. Need Help JV150-160: one magenta line is missing

The same channel not firing anything tells me that it's either completely clogged, the manifold is cracked, or it's not being pulled on by the cap top. I would take the damper off and inspect the manifold to see if it's broken or cracked. If it's in good condition, I would hook up a syringe and...
  8. Dialing in cutting?

The offset setting isn't something that needs to be dialed in and is a set number depending on the blade angle. If you are using the 45 degree blade it should be set to 0.3 and if it's the 60 degree blade it should be set to 0.15. If you set it properly and it still doesn't finish corners etc...
  9. What would you pay? What employees are worth.

There was a reset a while back. You can actually change it to whatever you want now.
  10. Dialing in cutting?

Those are all signs of improper offset setting and/or the blade is too far out. What's the offset setting set to right now?
  11. Dialing in cutting?

It looks like your blade offset setting is not correct and/or your blade is sticking out too far. I would get a 60 degree blade, Mimaki part number SPB-0003, and make sure the offset setting is correct. That should clear up the cut for smaller details. You probably have the 45 degree blade which...
  12. Discussion Exploring the Detail and Design Behind Signage in Video Games

Fallout New Vegas has a lot of good old style and neon signs. Great game too. From some of these comments, some of you need to take some time off! Work to live not live to work!
  13. 1324X mutoh valuejet not stopping after ink runs out?

A lot of my customers have switched to Bordeaux brand inks. I had another customer simply upgrade to the 1000mL bags and that seemed to fix her issue as well.
  14. 1324X mutoh valuejet not stopping after ink runs out?

That's an odd one then. It is far more common for the opposite problem to happen where the cartridges flag empty when they aren't. Did you actually shake the cartridge to see if it was empty? Sometimes the symptoms of cartridges being empty and not flagging is actually bad dampers. I can't think...
  15. 1324X mutoh valuejet not stopping after ink runs out?

Does it happen on all of your cartridges or just one color? There's a little, black, plastic lever toward the back, bottom, right side of the cartridge holder. That little lever get's pushed by a tab that sticks out of the cartridge when it's empty. They are flimsy and break easily if the...
  16. MUTOH RJ-900X NEED HELP

Ink moving back usually means air is getting in at one of the connections and it's usually the connection between the damper and ink line. I would doublecheck the o-rings to make sure they didn't rollup when sliding them onto the ink line. Sometimes they get twisted and can't make a good seal...
  17. Need Help JV150-160: one magenta line is missing

Try doing a damper swap to see if another color can print through that channel. Basically just swap the damper with the one next to it and run a cleaning. This will tell you if the issue is with the ink flow above the head or below. Then we can have a better idea of what might be causing the issue.
  18. Sp300 problems

No problem! The issue you're having now is a broken cut tool carriage cable. It's one of, if not the most common issue with these machines. It's the cable that goes from the main board to the cut tool carriage. Here's a link to the part: Cable
  19. Does it make sense to buy HP with this quality of support?

In my experience, a majority of customer service breakdowns are caused by lack of communication. It's completely possible that the sensor is on backorder but the fact that they aren't telling you is the problem. I've been selling parts for 14 years and I can tell you that the last 2-3 years has...
