  1. Sp300 problems

Push the following buttons in order: down, right, left, up, right, down, left And then push and hold these buttons at the same time while powering on the machine: left, down, and right You have about 5 seconds to get it all in so it might take a few tries.
  2. Sp300 problems

Ok you need to go into service mode and run the Linear Encoder Setup. Once that is complete, the error should go away.
  3. Sp300 problems

Did you do the encoder setup in service mode or the limit position initialization?
  4. Cross contamination

Cross contamination happens for multiple reasons. In your case it could be a failing damper. Failing dampers can allow ink to drop out of the head when it's capped and it can get into the adjacent channel that way. It can also happen if the cap top is not draining properly. If your dampers are...
  5. Roland sp-300v error

It's probably the cut tool carriage trialing cables that is bad. If you keep trying to load media nd it gives you pinch roller errors and/or it measures 0.0, that's usually the case. That could be what caused the first problem in the first place as well.
  6. Stickers VS Labels, whats the difference

    Dampers, dumpers, dampeners, baffles. . . . . . I agree!
  7. Roland sp-300v error

Internal errors are errors that the machine knows something went wrong but doesn't know what. The manual just says to restart the printer but running the limit position initialization could also work. If it keeps happening it's most likely a main board issue but it could be any board in the...
  8. Dx5 print head

I believe the official spec is 3 lbs of pressure.
  9. Valuejet 1204E fails to detect when out of ink

Yeah it's been hit or miss. Most people aren't having issues but I definitely get more calls about ink cards not reading or heads and maintenance stations clogging more often on these models with the new ink. A lot of my customer have switched to Bordeaux with good results.
  10. Valuejet 1204E fails to detect when out of ink

Is it doing this on all of the colors? If it's just 1 color, I would say the sensor is probably either broken or out of position. If it's every color, you might need to update your ink controller firmware. If your machine is an older model like the 1204, 1304, 1604 or 1614, it might just not be...
  11. Anyone have the JV330-160 yet?

Mostly what happens is the pigments separate from the solution which can cause clogging. But they should last a good time after expiration.
  12. Anyone have the JV330-160 yet?

Yeah that's always a concern with these 2 liter systems. If you're willing to use expired inks, you can find chips online to trick the machine into letting you use the rest. There's a post on here right now about making your own chips too. I see people use chips to use up their expired ink all...
  13. Mimaki JV150-160 smearing problem

That looks like the media buckled to me. Anytime your media looks wavy on the platen, those areas will look like this. Usually you just need to lower the heat a bit to cut down on buckling but also make sure your vacuum is set to high.
  14. MUTOH RJ-900X NEED HELP

It sounds like your maintenance station isn't sealing up with the head or the pump is clogged. If ink isn't moving during that mode, that would be the first place to look.
  15. Fine print

If your RIP allows you to, try lowering the motor speed and print unidirectional. That can help with fine details as well.
  16. No ink shifting from Yellow to Kay channel. WTF???

I agree with DL above. I would also add that these older JV33 models tend to need the ink lines and o-rings throughout the whole machine changed. Anytime I have random ink flow issues on a JV33 or CJV30 I change the dampers, then the damper connector and o-ring and if that doesn't do the trick...
  17. Need Diagnostic Help With a Mutoh 1204

Yeah it will be much easier if you take the whole black plastic piece off the top of the station. That way you can get to the spring from below.
  18. Need Diagnostic Help With a Mutoh 1204

That makes sense. Unfortunately that part only comes with a new station. That being said, if you can find someone with a used one, you can swap it over to yours fairly easily.
  19. Need Diagnostic Help With a Mutoh 1204

Yeah that all looks right. Can you tell exactly what part the head is getting hung up on?
  20. Need Diagnostic Help With a Mutoh 1204

OK so something is either up with that maintenance station or it's not installed correctly. Basically as long as all screws fit and you didn't have to bend anything to get it in, the head should never get hung up on the station itself. There's also no position adjustment for it so you should...
