You are right, but on those Colorado printers and newer Rolands etc. it is totally "game over" i don't like that development. I bought it and should be able to access all menus for fault-finding adaption of new parts etc. Just my opinion

HP latex to some extent, most of the HP Scitex range, older Rolands, and almost all Chinese brands!

I think it would be possible, but I would be worried about the ink system only being gravity/capping station fed. The valuejet has no air assist to feed the ink to the heads :( (Epson P6000 would be the better choice.)

HP really don't want us to use these old printers anymore, spare parts are just too expensive :(

We run 1 main and 1 backup freenas/truenas with Raid 6 - the backup servere is on a seperate network and it backuped daily to backblaze. We have been using freenas for years never had an issue. knock on wood. NTFS and software raid for the win ;)
