Never even tried a sign supplier lol I know they wouldn't have em. Here's some news, from one of my last calls of the day... and the reason I couldn't get a quoted product 2 months on. Turns out all overseas interests are stopping shipments of all outsized metal products due to the tariffs...

  13. Wanting to hire a salesperson, looking for best ways to be successful.

The best salesmen you'll ever have are people who know the product. If you can snipe a production or install guy, who is tired of beating themselves to hell for ~$14 an hour, do it. They'll know the signs, how they are made, and how to BEST recommend the right materials for the job. Just...

  16. Question How do you lift large signs into place >10ft high?

2 big ladders and 2 guys to walk it up is easiest. Better if you have a 3rd guy on a 3rd ladder to tack it in place but that's a luxury.
  17. Need Help SEMI truck 53 feet- How much should i charge it?

Unless you have a bay big enough for a semi, you're gonna be installing big cast panels in the sun, in Florida. Account for waste because it's probably going to happen. Rivets will be a PITA if you've never worked them. That number you said, started with 5... I'd look to double it.
  18. Is 1/2" acrylic an appropriate to use for a sign panel?

I'd say Colorcore would work for you, in that case. Lasts 20 years, weatherproof, black, white, no issues with painting. Has "substance". Should be able to sell that. If you want it shiny that's another thing. I would build a solid metal frame, first. Gives you attachment points and holds...
  19. Is 1/2" acrylic an appropriate to use for a sign panel?

I'm gonna give ya some advice. Just use ACM. It does everything you need it to at a lower cost. If you want "substance" just frame it out with painted wood and you'll get 1.5" depth.
