How in the world can three sign companies mess up a simple rider? What type of sign companies are you working with and what type of pricing are they offering you? Just seems weird. Anyone on this site can probably produce those things lickety split and on-time.

It would be nice if the workaround is posted for all to see.

I agree with Flame. I haven't upgraded my Windows XP since getting Flexi working. I"m afraid that an SP upgrade or the like will ruin flexi.

Matthew, Are you allowed to answer that question without all the pertinent information from the user - just kidding. What would be good would be an online knowledgebase that actually answers questions relating to bugs or workarounds in the software. Sort of fess up and tell us how to do it...

You may have a stroke line in it. Take a look in flexi and see if the fill/stroke is showing a stroke line.

If you just need "CISHART" maybe you can have it vectorized instead of pounding away searching for the font?

You're trying to cut corners by a few cents here and there. You may want to consider what your margins are rather than saving a few cents on vinyl.

I'm not on Flexi 8 but I remember something at the sign show in AC showing minimum system reqs etc. Flexi 8 needs much more memory than flexi 7.6 (which I use). Try installing more RAM or freeing up some swap space. I can't say it'll help for sure but it's the first thing I can think of.

I've never upgraed from 7.6 out of fear. In fact, I'm even fearful of upgrading XP because I don't want to affect Flexi. I reckon the problem is related to the RIP software in Flexi. It just sees things differently. Same with the RGB - CMYK thing. I prefer RGB and then let the RIP decide what...

My mutoh has functions that I can use to test if the heads are damaged. Hopefully, yours are not. Check your catalog for a test called a "nozzle check".

Referring to attached image: the shadow is offset from the text in such a way that there is a cutout on the shadow (you may have to zoom in to see it). Can anyone tell me how this can be done in Flexisign? Thanks, dpd
