You mess with the density levels are you're creating the profiles. What material/profile combo are you using?

Where did you get your profiles from? changing the density levels will fudge up your colors.

Creating the outline should take you no more than 5 minutes.

I got the sample. It's not a sample "roll" as stated in the original post (and nowhere on the site does it say "roll"). It's the standard roland brochure, with a printed piece of the material (by an XC540). Material looks nice though.

There's a prefeed option on the 545ex. I think that feeds 10-15 inches so you can tie it up to the take up roll (I think that's what it's for, never used the option myself.)
