what kind of longevity were you looking for out of the de wall? we do a lot of stuff with either seal anti graffiti or vandal guards anti graffiti and our clients love the stuff. hardly any ghosting for quite a while.
i think its the same manufacturer overseas just rebranded, much like oce and fuji.
but with a used fb, you need to see it in action over a full days period or longer. you want to see how it handles close to or more than your daily workload. bring your own material and files so you know what...
Hey I'm having no current issues with actually running it thru my 560, but i am having a weird thing happen where adhesive is coming off of the outside edge of the material and gumming up on the pinch rollers…anyone seen this/ have suggestions on alleviating the issue? thanks !!!
if you have some compressed air, find the encoder reader on the backside of the carriage on the service side. if you look along the strip with the carriage in the middle of the rail you should be able to see a little tiny thing that runs along the strip that is connected to the carriage. once...
i know on my 560 with caldera, i can run a 3 foot banner with 1" hems on the sides on a 38" roll. you need to do a lot of tricking the machine and the rip into doing what you want. i first started with a custom page size without the automatic margins the printer/rip adds to the hp latex page...
That looks like it may be more of a profile/ink density issue. Is the material you're using rated for latex use?? And are you using a custom profile or preset one for this substrate?
yeah their roland ink is solid though. they keep trying to get us to drop in non oem inks into our flatbeds and i am firmly against it, mostly because of reasons like gino's.
i do on an out of warranty roland, haven't had issues with them yet. gamut, at least for my ecosol max2 inks, is i think 99.6% of the roland. not positive on the percentage but its within the 99th percentile. not sure on agfa though. I've never run one, nor do i know if they stock it...
what i am referring to is the overlay that magnum puts on to it so you have a white, smooth surface and not just a magnet to mount/print to. some of my earlier attempts at the heat testing almost turned the white coating into a bubbled skin that moved independently of the magnet underneath...
yeah, if you're using the magnum mag with the vinyl overlay, the heat will cause the vinyl to warp and seemingly separate from the magnet. haven't seen it in the field myself, but like i said, id know that anywhere from the hour i spent fine-tuning the heat settings to make it actually run thru...
yeahh thats definitely heat. i do direct print magnet and i remember when trying to get the curing and heating right seeing this kind of thing. id say they probably took them off of the car and left them in the car in direct sun. have you guys had any really hot days recently?
