Not sure if it will help but on the old Rolands CJ 500 converted I leave it for a week to a week and a half when gone. It does not have the auto clean function so no use to keep power on but what I do is flush the drain lines with cleaning fluid and then blow the cleaning fluid out so the drain...
I am not sure what the windex would do when flushing but when I flushed my first waterbased Roland I started with warm water to start the flush. Then used Isopropyl Alcohol and then actual waterbased cleaning fluid. After that I used some solvent based cleaning fluid to do a final flush in...
You should have started a new thread as this one was from the dead in 2009.
But to answer your question..... No you can't run a SC 500 or CJ 500 with versaworks. You can use Flexi and Wasach (not sure of spelling). Also you can use Illustrator to print from and cut as long as you have...
In CS3 top left under "File Edit Object etc." the word "Image" , "name of the file" appears in a blue color, and then the PPI shows what you get at the size you enlarge your jpg to. I never really looked much at that before.
I have the older Rolands CJ 500 converted and I have the 220 refill carts mixed with 440 ml (original carts) and have not had issues.
The point about pressure difference might be the only thing to watch for but you get that when one cart is very low as well. If you ever get ink contamination...
The old Rolands can do just fine for prints and even canvas prints. If the stuff is indoors anyway you would do just fine with one. Converting is not that big of a deal and there are even some media that you would not need heat and still get an ok print with solvent but heat added is better...
Have you been able to find the thinner clear tube that runs from under the cap tops as an air or vaccume line. On the old Rolands it is supposed to be clear from ink so more for air to pass through so I was wondering if any tube would work as long as it fit?
Sorry for the :thread
Just...
I was puttin my money on the other "Dipswitch" :ROFLMAO:
That is one thing I have not done on my CJ. Has not really been a reason or proof, that it would print any different. I would not have ever thought that would cause that kind of an issue.
Glad you figured it out while you still had...
wow..... makes a guy wonder what the heck happend.......
You know you are getting old when you can hurt your self bending over to pick up a quarter.....
take it easy and heal up quick.... and if you arn't going to use your Pro V's send them up here....
I'll give you $65.50 for the printer and $2,400.00 for the prints.......
**Make sure that the crop mark is enabled in the printer menu.
So once you have your print with crop marks printed on, hit set up, load the media so it is about lined up with the crop marks and the cutter head. Then...
One thing on a converted CJ 500 is to make sure the original drain line is not used as it is so thin it will block easily. Run the drain lines direct to the drain bottle and even move the bottle to the front of the printer and hang it off the front so the lines reach.
The CJ 500 does not read the chip. It can run with a refill cart with no chip or after market inks etc. It does not read the chip.
Like Artbot says, when it askes you to put in the cleaning cart you should be able to either just hit enter or if it needs you to remove the cart and put back in...
Artbot is right...
That should work as the pump will just run for a timed period (runs for a long time while you wait.... seems like forever but it will stop).
So yes take the two tubes off the cap tops that lead to the pump and let it think it's doing it's job. You will need to leave them...
I print all my stuff out of production manager. You should be able to set all your default setting there and you should be able to add profiles etc. as you need them I don't have flexi 10 so I am not sure if it will be the same as what I use. You may need to do this over the phone to go...
I would stay with Flexi as you can't add made profiles to Color Choice.
What ink are you using right now?
If you are using Roland inks you should be able to use the Roland profiles as well as you could get some profiles e-mailed to you.
Also what settings are you using for input and output...
I have 3 of them. Take the time to practice a bit with them and you will love them. I do 4' x 8' quite often by my self and without them I would be at a loss. I had made my own to start with and it worked for smaller stuff but I do have to say that Dale's are just that much better and work...
