  1. HP Latex Printer- how many 220v?

Not sure they were talking about a 40 amp breaker. That may have been an example in another post. I'm sure you are right about the bigger gauge wire for higher amp breakers.
  2. HP Latex Printer- how many 220v?

I too think separate lines if you have two things to plug into. Do not split a line.
  3. HP Latex Printer- how many 220v?

For a 220 line you mainly need two spots on the pannel to get a 220 line. You should have a min 12 guage wire running to a 220 Volt outlet so it is not wise to use the existing wire to that plug unless you can tell if it's 12 guage or lower. The higher number (14 guage is standard for most...
  4. wrinkles in canvas; Magiclee from Fellers

Just to confirm for everyone. This is a waterbased printer not solvent so there is no heat involved. The wrinkles are there before the roll even goes into the printer. I think this is a bad batch of canvas. A slight ripple will cause a color shift that will be noticed when printing to canvas...
  5. Can I print on artstore-bought Canvas with my 5500?

A far as ink, I assume that it's a waterbased ink. The Roland pigmented waterbased inks are about $111.00 for a 220 ml cart so they are not cheap. Dye can be half the price but they are not good for being water resistant and don't have the 75 year life that the propper ones will. I do think...
  6. wrinkles in canvas; Magiclee from Fellers

Get Fellers to open a roll and look at it. If its like the one you had the first time they will notice right away. This may be the entire lot they got in at that time, and may be a bigger issue than just one or two rolls. This is not normal. I have had a couple rolls from them and they were...
  7. Can I print on artstore-bought Canvas with my 5500?

Not sure what ink set you have but to print canvas you should used a pigmented waterbased ink and not a dye ink. You should print on the propper canvas for printers, torino is a good one. You need that coating on the canvas for the best results. Also I think you will have an issue with the...
  8. No Yellow

PM sent to call regarding this.
  9. Lamination on Aquous ink

What ink are you using? If using Rolands FPG Pigmented inks then you should have great color. I use Flexi Production Manager to run my printers and just use the standard Roland profiles. You may need to look at all the other settings. Input and output profiles, Rendering intent, what media...
  10. Lines when printing in image

A dirty encodor strip can cause random lines in a print and unlike a hair or a fuzz caught on the print head those lines don't streak from the edges of the image. They show up over the image or on blank areas. Some times the censor can get a fuzz on it as well.
  11. Lamination on Aquous ink

You should have a copy of colorchoice. Use the profiles from there. I guess I should ask first, what are you printing out of?
  12. Lamination on Aquous ink

If you don't plan on doing a lot of outdoor stuff then keep going that way or if you do a lot of art work, canvas, prints etc keep things as is. But if you don't do the art stuff and plan to do more outdoor things the conversion is not hard and compare the cost of media. It only takes a couple...
  13. gromets and banners

I think I would let them know right away and state that you will keep this one but ask if that is acceptable on their end to install that way. If they say no then you know they aren't happy with it either. If they say yes you know to remind them on every order. If you wait untill next order...
  14. No Print days

In the CJ and FJ Rolands there is a test print in the service menu called fill pattern. It prints each of the six colors in a 1 inch strip the length of the media you have set up. About 24 to 30 inch wide is enough to use up the reservoir in the print head and refresh at least that amount of...
  15. Color tube on the wrong damper!

Sent you an email on what to do.
  16. Falcon Outdoor 48" no vacuum @ capping station

I think you have the same capping station and print heads as on the older Rolands (CJ500, SC500, FJ series). Anyway there are two clear lines that run from under the captops and go over to a small rectangular box. If one of those clear tubes have come off or if the spring to the flat piece...
  17. What is causing these streaks?

You must be printing in Bi direction as the lines are going in both directions of the graphic. Is yours a cutter as well? I have had a fuzz or hair get caught on the cutter blade and I cleaned the head many times and funny it didn't help. Now I remove the blade tool when I just print just to...
  18. Bad print with Roland CJ500 soljet

    PM sent
  19. dvd builder

I have an old version of a magix movie pro 11 and it was easy to use and did a good job. Fun to fool with. If you want to drive yourself nuts look at premier pro (Adobe) and try to figure that one out.
  20. Bad print with Roland CJ500 soljet

Yes like was said, install as a SC500 so that color choice will give you the profiles for solvent printing. Also make sure you have the settings as CMYKlclm and not just CMYK. From there a pile of things will change the look of your prints from input profiles to output profiles to what media you...
