First, what ink are you using? Is this with or without heat plates?
I rarely use Colorchoice anymore as I am using Flexi. In colorchoice the "color tab" with the sliders should reduce the ink limits. You can just try the "All" slider and shift it back to half and see what it does to the...
I did do backups so that is an option but I am still quite new with Illustrator so some of my settings may have been more screwups than my preferences. I am interested in hearing others pref. settings in the other thread I started.
Thanks again for your help
When you have to reset your preferences in Illustrator and Photoshop, what are the first things you change back to how you like to use them.
For me I did not know about the Scale stroke and Effects. Made things a lot easier all of a sudden.
I am wondering what other setting I might be...
Udate as problem is fixed (parm) error
I had read on the web that others had the same thing happen when working with large files.
The fix was to basically uninstall Illustrator and reinstall just Illustrator but it also was showing reparing files as it was installing.
Thanks to The Vector...
I use a "Glamour II" product that is a gloss waterbased varnish. You can mix with water (about2-3 parts water 1 part varnish). Roll on before its stretched, with a foam roller. More water gives a bit more of a matt look. I like the semi gloss look. You can actually use it on solvent printed...
Well GG, you helped in one area. By clicking the show hidden files on the laptop I was able to find those PDF preset files and drag them into the problem computer but........ did not work.
Funny thing is that I have CS2 on that computer as well and it still has the pdf presets and works. I...
First, thank you to all that have had some imput.
On post #2 you can see the screen shot that should come up.
From Illustrator CS3 in the menu "edit" then "Adobe PDF presets" this is where there is an unknown error (PARM).
I can still save files but just wondering if there is a way to get...
So the Adobe PDF presets are messed up due to a parm (assume parameter) or not....
Last bump for any ideas or do I just need to do a re install?
I have a bunch of downloaded brush and fills that I would rather not have to mess with again. Could I just save that folder and then drop back in...
The photo mode is a 720 x 1440 I think but it just shows 720.
But it does print different than super, which is also listed as 720.
Photo is the best setting.
In flexi it shows 1440 in photo mode.
Using illustrator I had a glitch thing happen and all reset it seems.
When I wanted to send a PDF for someone to view I would save it as PDF and then in the drop down menu on top you could pick option and one was smallest file size ( or something like that ) .
Now the custom drop down has...
Yes like Artbot said the older Rolands FJ and CJ have 6 color so if you want to drop the Lc and Lm you add Or and Gr in their place. I had been using the FJ 42 with the Lc Lm combo and also used Cave Paint pigmented waterbased ink. I needed to make my own profiles due to the ink being another...
Not sure if this is what you are getting at but try to take the original photo 10 x 10 at 300 dpi and just open it in your rip. I use production manager, and it will come in at original size of 10x10. Enlarge it to 300% from there and just print using a profile for about 540 dpi, (mine is fine2...
Ok I too am going to come out of the closet and say that I print Canvas on a Roland. Even an old Roland at that and I feel good about it..........
And so do my customers..........
I have been doing picture framing for over 10 years and the last couple years, since I picked up my first CJ...
I have reverse printed on .020 and then backed with white. You could also back with frost film to get the frosted look however with reverse print you can never scratch off.
I was trying to do this and was told when you place the file, there is a "link" and "template" check box. Do not have link checked. (or the other way around) one of those should do it.
Just went through Fellers catalog and they have "pano star" which they call a non adhesive perforated banner material but in small print they call it perforated vinyl film (white front and black back).
That would have to be a similar product. They suggest panostick adheasive to stick it to...
Poster view (and again I think this is what they called it) is identical to window perf but it does not have the adheasive. The back side is black so the eye does not see it as easily as you look out the window from the inside.
Does the stuff you are talking about have a black side on the...
Duh.... You should have said start with a small rock and work your way up until you hear it bounce off. If you are hard of hearing...... watch for the crack.......
