Ok....... now I see.....
This is how you guys get your post counts up there. I thought it had to do with experience........
BTW... I was kidding there.
But really Stop it cause I can't get my work done.
Is this what you are doing:
Printing an image, laminating, then cutting over the printed image.
So is your cut line is through the printed area of the image? Or does it cut with a bit of white space where there is no ink?
How soon after the print is done are you trying to cut?
Vinyl...
I don't want to burst your bubble but I match the price in the City where a high end art printer, prints the waterbased pigmented inks, at $12 a sq ft and that also includes varnish over the print. Last year they were at $17.50. On top of that to put it on bar and stretch, they charge $3 a...
Interesting... On my CJ 500 it's on the Cutter head part that hooks up with the print heads when printing.
Wait a min... that might be something else on the cutter head. I do see something on the print carriage that goes over the strip.
Ouch I think I just felt a kick...
I guess I would have thought it had to read the strip to cut as well, otherwise how else would it know where to cut. Also when you use automatic registration marks it has to use something to tell where it is when it reads the marks. I may be wrong but might side with Gino on this part. Kick me...
In Alberta it is cold here..... but no I don't have a laminator and I know I kind of did it backA$$wards but the lexan was smoother than my table so if I laminated the vinyl first it would have been no better. Coro would be another story but this was a sheet of lexan. I'm alway willing to hear...
Welcome....
I just layed down my first back lit. It was 24" x 10 ' long and I was terrified. Layed perfect. Then put the 210 laminate over and was terrified. Layed perfect. I have 3 Big Squeege's and thanks to Dale, I'm no longer terrified.
The test print did not show any missing nozzles?
Can you check your allignment test prints. It looks to be a fade on every advance of the media. Almost like the feed was off or the allignment if you were printing bi direction. If you try uni direction and it goes away then you know it would...
You really need cleaning fluid to clear blockages. Start with a soak. Fill the captop with cleaning fluid and make sure it is pooled to the top and reset your heads over top the capping station. Let sit 10 min or so and do a reg cleaning cycle from the key pad on the printer. Do a test print...
Let me guess.... He is going to need you to pay the towe company up front for him to get the truck to you?
Better yet offer to go pick it up for him and save him the towe fees.
Just remember it's not when they pay for the product thats the scam (even though you won't get that money either), but it's the shipping part. They start out having the order (500 banners, car wraps, anything) being shipped to them. Then for some reason the they say the shipping company can not...
Photoshop
Just tried the "Snap" found under the view tab and after snap is checked make sure snap to (guides and Document bounds) are checked. A lot easier to line up shapes with each other.
Illustrator is similar but the lines don't show up to show when you are lined up.
I am not sure if an artist would want a canvas with solvent inks? Do check if your potential customers to see if they would care. Reg photo prints can look quite good with solvent.
In waterbased, I know they do not want Dye inks (cheaper) and they do want the pigmented waterbased (based on...
Hey Colin,
Mondrian Hall has it. They were bought out by Unisource and the Head Office is out east. I could email you an old price list so you could see what else they had.
Yes I did back up the Illustrator files but your advice reminds me to make sure I have done photoshop as well.
Still just wanting to hear if there are other check boxes to make sure you either have checked or in some case unchecked.
For example the "scale strokes and effects" why would you...
