I want to thank all the people who tried helping me with my Cj-500 problem! Just managed to purchase a Main board cause I am not sure that my main board is functioning right, the board I bought was embarrassingly cheap. I am sure I'll be back for help once I start entering in the parameters,

Does anyone know where I can get replacement parts for my cj-500 which includes.. Trailing head cable, Power supply board, Encoder strip and maybe a new or used main board. Digiprint supplies got some of these but they out of my price range...

Looking for a reasonably priced power board for my Cj500.. I am replacing a lot of stuff on my printer to get it running again...

You quite right,,, but right now I'll do the eliminating thing,, one by one encoder sensor is next, than maybe the power supply board also maybe the encoder board...The main board seems ok unless there is a fuse on board I don't know about...

It looks like it,,, but who knows what else I need to get this printer going again...right now there are many issues with it...

Does anyone know where to get one of these sensors? it seems all I come across is for newer printers. Are these sensors interchangeable, as long as they have the same amount of wires and the mounting holes correct?? just don't know much about it...

I checked all the print cables, they all look just fine,,, I am a little suspicious of the encoder sensor may gotten fried when the printer shorted out.. Also when I checked the continuity at the fuse on the power board I was getting nothing,,, but the printer still comes online...

GSTech, Thanks for your help! When the printer shorted out it did blown the fuse on the power supply board, guess it could of done some other damage on that board itself. Also when I changed the head I did go into the the service menu and tried to change the left head ranking but it did not let...

Jack, I gone into service menu and the thermistor check sown 0.c and 32.F I did not see anywhere how to change that, also noticed that the LED light on the main board and head board do not come on when I power up..

I will check out the thermistor on head one tomorrow, to do that do I have to get into Service Mode? I also noticed the the LED does not lights up as well when printer powered up.

Also keep in mind that the Fj-50 is just a printer, it does not have contour cutting abilities and it does print up to 1400 dpi. if speed is not an issue for you like ccsigns says grab one, they are user friendly as well..

I looked at some channel letter banding machines for aluminum and stainless steel, found one for 9K but it's from China. Anything close to it in the States sells for 20K and up. Does anyone of you have one of these machines?

It is also possible that the clear tube on your capping station is clogged, also check the waste tube, if you do a cpl. of head cleaning and you see in coming out of waste tube, than the pump is ok..
