  1. Somebody knows that font?

Construction LOOKS to be close to AddCityBoy
  2. Download More Roland ICC Profile

I tried to download some profiles the other day for my new printer and noticed they don't have any options for any Oracal media. I have also been trying to find the old profiles that I used everyday on my old printer/versaworks such as glossy calendered vinyl, or blockout banner vinyl, and...
  3. Font help...custom stylized or what?

Shoulda started with that picture. You got me there. Good Luck!
  4. Font help...custom stylized or what?

    Optima or ZapfHumnst family
  5. best vector program

Corel only seems natural to me since I literally grew up with it. It also seems "right" when someone sends me something designed in Adobe and none of the paths are closed and everything is an outline and I dang near have to rebuild that crap. All that being said, a lot of that has to do with...
  6. What is a Vinyl Sticker and what is a Vinyl decal?

I guess I'm a little sheltered here in Redneck, USA, but I've never heard anything other than "deecal" So obviously "deecal" is the right way. :rock-n-roll:
  7. flat bed printers & coroplastic pricing help please!

Let them fight. It's going to take a long, long time to pay for those printers at those rates. The only problem is when you give your price, and they go down the road and can get it for less than half, it makes you look like a crook. I'm not above telling customers that it can be bought...
  8. New from Kentucky!

    Welcome from WKY
  9. Out of State and Warranty

I think finding a local shop close by that you can depend on is your best bet. If someone sends me something that is defective, it gets shipped back on their dollar. So if you have a major issue with a single wheelwell on one van, they probably aren't going to want to pay you any travel...
  10. signs365 business card printing

Well, Most places like you to add a .0625 give or take bleed to your artwork on all sides. Well, Last year when 365 started doing cards, it required you to send a 3.7x2.2 file. That pretty easy math, but a big bleed nonetheless. Now you send your card file in at 2x3.5 and have to guess how...
  11. Clear coat Gold Leaf

I'm pretty sure Gemini does clear them. We get our gold letters elsewhere and 15 years ago they came with no clear. Now they are cleared and hold up better, look just as good, plus no Michael Jackson gloves to install them which is nice.
  12. signs365 business card printing

Single Card file. My only gripe is the way they do their bleed is a little unorthodox, but I have ordered propably 10 sets of cards through them and they have all been exactly as I expected and good quality.
  13. Media Presets in VersaWorks

Thank you for your response. I was more or less asking if I load up a roll of Oracal 5600 for example, which preset profile is closest to that media? Since there are several options to choose from, I didn't know if there was a breakdown of each preset somewhere to look at. Thanks
  14. Media Presets in VersaWorks

Hey guys, I know this is a very elementary question, but what do the different (specific) media presets in Versaworks mean? I've heard guys say they rarely change their profile for different medias, but what is the difference in say all of the different reflective media profiles? I tried...
  15. Signs 365 fail!

It is truly unfortunate to hear about these issues from signs365. I have spent a lot of money with them over the years and am normally well pleased with the products that I get. My only real complaint with them is how tight they sometimes roll prints, I have seen it cause issues with the...
  16. Cutting sandblast mask

I'm not familiar with the 4b, but I'm assuming it is an old plotter? Anyway, I cut the ask with a friction fed plotter, 60 degree blade and it cuts no problem. I will say the mask that I have bought in the last 10 years or so from Hartco is thinner than the mask that dad used to buy. The...
  17. Corel X6 - Can't click on the font I want

I can also change it through the edit text docker. One thing worth mentioning is I have way too many fonts installed on my computer. Not sure if that's related or not.
  18. Corel X6 - Can't click on the font I want

Hey guys, I have worked around this problem long enough, there has to be a fix. When I click on a font, especially a Bold or Bold Italic font, it won't change my text. To use Arial as example, it will only let me click on regular Arial. Then I can click on Bold or Bold Italic on the toolbar...
  19. sp300 vinyl

On the 3651, I use the Glossy Calendered Vinyl.
  20. sp300 vinyl

That has more to do with the cheap vinyl than it does the thickness. Are you laminating these prints, with clearshield or film either one? If not, don't plan to put your cutline next or in the ink. For a window lettering, regular ol 3651 gets the job done for me most of the time unless I know...
