Finally the problem was solved, it was an ink problem, it seems that the warehouse conditions aren't good enough for ink storage. As for the dampers, you will find it below the carriage PCB.

I'm using Photo Print for thr DJ 9000, although I've tried Wasatch and Colorgate as well, and still the same problem.

I don't think this is the issue, as I can print IQ test (8 inches of solid color) 10 times continuously without any ink starvation, while I can't print 2 inches of halftone from any file. Please check attached files at the beginning of the post. By the way, I'm a SAM Ink user.

Checked all ink lines, replaced dampers and flex cables and still problem exists. Even if the ink buffers during the pause before printing IQ test, that will make it print at least for the same number of passes on normal print, but it doesn't it cut's out from the third or forth pass.

I finally found out the cause of the problem, it's a tiny crack on the cyan ink tube. (check attached picture)

Suddenly the Cyan printhead in my Design jet 9000 had large gaps of white area in the test print, I run 3 strong cleaning cycles, it started printing properly then it started to drop ink on the media. Same ink, same media settings, wipers and capping station are both clean and working properly...

Well, it's hard to tell exactly, I have a printhead that counted up-to 9533 ml. and stopped counting and still working normally, others need replacement after about 3000 ml. but my average for over 2 years now is 5000 ml.
