  1. So...how are your sales ending the year?

Still waiting on that evidence... something like 59/60 cases have already been thrown out of court due to lack of it.
  2. So...how are your sales ending the year?

We've been turning people away since beginning of December as we wouldn't meet deadlines before the holiday break. January will busy again from over overflow. Our busiest year in ~15 years so far.
  3. Oce Colorado Owners - 1m2 Ink usage?

I asked our Arizona tech about this a while back. He said waste ink is not calculated in the usage statistics.
  4. Printing Yamaha Yellow ?

Here's the page of yellows from a recent-ish Pantone simulation book.
  5. Printing Yamaha Yellow ?

Agree with unclebun. My last tip will be to aim for Pantone 123C.

    Photo of a problem print?
  7. Printing Yamaha Yellow ?

I would edit the colour values in your design software. Far easier than fiddling with VersaWorks. Here is a guide to playing with spot colour output in VW: https://files.rolanddga.com/Files/Roland%20VersaWorks%20Manual/Roland%20VersaWorks%20Manual/!SSL!/Responsive_HTML5/032.html
  8. Printing Yamaha Yellow ?

We haven't used a Roland since we got our Epson, but I think Max Impact might skew those numbers a little as it tries to optimize bright colours from memory. See how it looks in that mode otherwise try Sign&Display which should be a bit closer to 'accurate' colour.

Found this formula online for Munsell Yellow C: 0 M: 17.6 Y: 100 K: 4.3 Of course it will be dependent on both your media and printer calibration but hopefully it'll get you closer to the mark.
  10. What cause this on perforated laminate

We usually see similar when clients don't listen to us and use high pressure water to wash the vehicle, blowing the laminate through the perforated holes.
  11. Help me cut thick stuff

1 mil ~= 25 microns (=0.025mm) Usually cast vinyl would be around 2 mil and matching laminate around the same or occasionally thinner. Monomerics are usually in the 3-4 mil range.
  12. Real world applications for UV varnish/clear (large/wide format)

The only time I've ever seen it used is at trade shows. Nearly everyone has converted it back to a second white channel.
  13. HEAD STRIKES, HEAD STRIKES, HEAD STRIKES

Likely something comparable to a fan inside your PC. Even on a $200k UV flatbed, they just use a few PC style fans for roll media suction.
  14. Death of CentOS

Great, so now we'll have a questionable CentOS Stream, and v7 will actually outlast v8. I was part way through a new v8 build but now I'll look elsewhere.
  15. Question Letter size paper for SC80600?

Officially you can't do it. MInimum spec is 300mm wide and 500mm long. You might need to tape it to some other media and adjust head height to compensate.
  16. holes in printing

Do you have a photo you can share?
  17. Favorite Movies

    Goodfellas
  18. Simple RIP for Epson SC-P8000 poster printing only

Whilst QImage isn't a RIP in the same fashion as the others, it is a very handy piece of software. We use it to do batch scaling of artworks which would normally take much longer in Photoshop. Cheap too.
