We use a Fotoba DigiTrim 64 to cut decals down into user manageable sheets of around 12"x18". Smallest width it will cut is 8" though.
You can also get a 20" version which cuts all the way down to 2" wide.
Not difficult at all... go to the Layers panel and select your cut lines layer. Click on the 3 horizontal lines button top right and select Duplicate "Layer name".
See attachment for detail.
As much as we like to rag on government action (or inaction) a lot of the positive results are based on a populace that is willing to listen to the experts and follow some temporary rules to ensure the greater good of society.
This model has two different LCD options:
If it's the non-HD (1366x768 resolution) the sRGB coverage is a dismal 68%.
If it's the Full-HD (1920x1080 resolution) the sRGB coverage is a much more acceptable 94% with dMax of 2.9 which isn't overly bad.
I hope you have the latter version.
Laptop screens are notoriously poor for accurate colour representation unless they are specifically marketed as "design" models. Apple manufactured laptops are usually far better for accuracy and gamut.
As balstestrat says, you'd be faaaar better off connecting an external screen with full sRGB...
4.9pl smallest drop size (vs. S80600 @ 4.2pl). Variable dot size like the rest of the Epson range though so should be a good performer..
Output should be excellent in comparison to the sand sized droplets of the other manufacturer.
Those are head strikes. If you can raise the head to accommodate thicker material give that a try first, otherwise lower the temperature by a few degrees to reduce media warping under the heat.
Are there any transparencies/gradients in the file?
Versaworks has struggled with those for many years, only resolving the issue recently I believe.
Here is a video on how to construct a file that should work that hopefully should work:
Yep, as above.. ink loading is too high to dry before it rolls back on itself.
Try pointing a fan or two at the prints as they come off the printer. This might buy you enough dry time.
We built our own dryer fan unit as we were experiencing the same issues when printing 6 pass or faster which...
I've done my best to clean up all of the inappropriate stuff. Premium member or not, there's still a level of appropriate posting that must be maintained.
Did you completely move the Roland DG Versaworks folder to another location (not just the contents)?
The commands above will not work unless the folder is completely gone from C:\Program Data\
Our Epson prints phenomenally good photography work. I doubt the graininess of latex would be suitable for high resolution reproductions.
With the right paper, we were printing fine art reproductions on ours and clients loved it. Couldn't tell the difference comparing to an aqueous machine...
We built our own dryer for 10% the cost of the genuine one (S80600).
Not sure how they came up with the pricing on that option, but ours works very well when doing low pass printing as the media flies out of the machine so quickly the heated platen doesn't have enough time to fully dry the inks...
We had a partial roll of something similar to this about 7-8 years ago. I wish I could remember who was selling it though... feels like it used to be a Coburn product, which turned into R-Tape which then turned into Nekoosa, however it's not on their current stock list.
