He's worried about it coming off in a storm or snow?
Should bring this guy up here to north central Wisconsin to see how well that "tape" holds up in snow, storms, wind, rain, frost, ice, sleet, +100 to -40 degree temps.
The SS21 inks are in fact eco-sol, that's what we use in our Mimaki. I'm pretty sure (but not positive) that Mutoh and Mimaki use the same voltages, so the connector color is probably the reference if the same part number is listed for both. Those would be unlocked heads, hence the use of...
Even though a lot of printers use a DX5, and they'll fit, you still have to make sure you have one that matches the brand/ model. The reason is some printer manufacturers use different voltages to feed the heads. Some are interchangable, some use encrypted heads, others you can use un-codedd/...
One of my daughters lives down in the Naples area, finally heard from her that she's OK, her place didn't get damaged, but no idea when she'll have power again.
If it's "smooshy" it might have a spray on urethane barrier applied. Some companies do that when they install commercial coolers, adds a little insulation value, and seals everything. If it is, depending on the product, vinyl and paints might not stick well to it, so test whatever you're going...
After all the years I was retired, I came back to do graphic design and printing, which I do, but with a little engineering in my background things escalated quickly.
My first monument sign from concept to completion since returning, hooked to the crane, ready to set it in place.
Guess this...
His name is Ozzy Pawsbourne Prince of Barkess, and lives like a rock star... He rides like he's in a limo, gotta have the seat cooling or heat on just the right temp, and he passes out. I'm just his driver, I wake him when we get to our destination and hold the door for him :notworthy:
My first thought was dust too, I remember all too well having that happen on older Rolands, used to get fine little piece of fiber from banner material get lodged in the metal cap on the head that doesn't remove with just cleaning... Had to use surgical tweezers to get em' out a time or three...
That shows the heads and pumps are working, so it's electrical. Double check all ends of the cables going to the heads, but make sure you disconnect the power completely and let it sit for a while so capacitors can discharge! Just turning off the power switch leaves current flowing to all the...
Current plan: I'm gonna send em' two renderings, one a cross shaped double sided lighted sign cab, choice of exterior color that we can just order & install. The other a neon, which was an option that we can do in house, all pending permits. Something that sounded so simple shouldn't be this...
Boss only asked if I could find any ready to install options, do some plans/ drawings to submit before we buy/ start anything, but so far I have no options that meet what they want anyway. Probably should have the boss make a call when he gets back to town next week, if he hasn't already, before...
We've done those, they're more for mounting on a wall, unfortunately this would be free standing, exposed 360 degrees, and exterior. They didn't have a plan-B, guess they'll have to find one.
Wish I could Gino... It's not one of those big ol' churches with a huge steeple, it's more like a repurposed retail building that had a lighted sign, hence the pole/ electrical already there to put it on. They already got the town's approval for it when they renovated it, it's just finding/...
I would have thought so too... If they didn't want it lit on all sides it could be done like any other sign box in a cross shape with no problem. We get all the "unconventional" requests.
If we can't get them to go with a more conventional option, I guess we'll end up making a neon one, which...
