  1. Double sided banners

+1 When I printed my first double-sided on the Roland I thought the sides would never line up so I had a lot of bleed... to no use - the other side was spot on with this method, and as you said it is easy, fast and looks very good! Never had an issue with inks scratching or anything even if I...
  2. Multiple copies of a PDF on one page?

Thanks a lot for the replies, I'll check out Quite Imposing. Mark, thank you for the offer, however since I'm from Europe it feels a bit far away to call you over there just for a PDF, but thank you anyway... =) I'd really like to be able to make these myself since it's every now and then we...
  3. Psychological Challenges of Business Ownership

I went with Estimate, and I think it works really well for me. Great customer support from them also! I have heard a lot of good things about SignVOX also, but it feels like it's too much of software for us at this point, only really needed the estimating feature. Miracle and miracle... well...
  4. Multiple copies of a PDF on one page?

Thank you for the replies! Unfortunately I don't have a RIP to run these printers (Konica Minolta Bizhub:s), they have built-in RIP:s but don't have this function. It doesn't take THAT long to do the same thing in Adobe as you guys suggest using Indesign for, but I just like the idea to have...
  5. Multiple copies of a PDF on one page?

Have searched the forums, net and everywhere but always end up on a dead end. I have a simple task that is hard to solve apparently: I have a PDF file with let's say 72 pages. I want to print on a standard printer (letter size for example) a paper that comes out with 2 copies on one page...
  6. Psychological Challenges of Business Ownership

I felt EXACTLY like this in the beginning of this year, got my first full-time employee, work up over our ears and then poof... just like the air (hot steam) got out of me and I just didn't care about work or anything. Took 2 weeks off, shut off the phone and just spent time with my family and...
  7. how big is your facitily

We have about 800 sqft and are crammed as whatnot, oh how I would love to get more space...
  8. Talk about a GRAND format printer........

"Hey, why is the livingroom missing from my new house?" "Oh, yeah, sorry about that, we had some nozzles clogged...banding you know..."
  9. UVJ-640 skew fix

Thanks for your feedback, maybe you could put up a video of it printing one day? Tried to search for one online but did just find one or two... Good luck with your printing!
  10. UVJ-640 skew fix

Nice fix! Those should come as a accessory from Roland! How do you like the machine so far, I've been looking into one (if I ever get that much extra money), but I wanted to ask how the ink consumption/cost is? It has only 220 ml cartridges, and for Versacamms the ink cost is quite...
  11. Toner on vinyl? Can it be done??

Also, the fusing unit rollers are usually about 170-180 degrees Celsius (375-400 degrees Fahrenheit) so most vinyls can't handle the heat... The Xerox is probably ment for posters on paper and such...
  12. Roland 300v has my head spinning!

No damages to the USB cables recently? Does the extended cables work with other equipment, just to test that the cables are OK? Got problems with a cutter that acted similar to this, changed USB cable and it was fine again...
  13. World's Best Kept Secret - Sticker Vinyl

+1 for small runs. Never had a customer ask for crack n' peel backing when the "stickers" are contour cut on a sheet. Or could you maybe cut a small stripe next to the sticker? Sort of a crack n' peel but on the frontside... =)
  14. Hello from Finland!

Wow, what a great welcome, thank you everyone! Yes, Signworld, It's great to get the first employee, but it also brings in new challenges.
  15. Roland BN-20 Thoughts?

Looked at the BN-20 on a tradeshow and one drawback in my opinion is that it doesn't have heaters (no print heater or dryer), but maybe that's not an issue in real life usage or what do you that use the machine say? Prints beautifully though...
  16. Hello from Finland!

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome! =)
  17. Hello from Finland!

Hello from northern Europe! Been visiting Signs101 for a long time, but never been registered, but now I took the chance (nice to see the pictures on the forum for a change)! =) I'm 28 years old, running a small sign shop in Finland, and recently hired my first employee. Been in the business...
