  2. Cutlines in Corel X3

Just to be sure, you have it defined as a Spot Color with a Hairline width, correct?
  3. Outside jobs with CNC

I've wanted a CNC for some time now, but never could justify it enough to pull the trigger. However, I do have some questions. I would assume that something capable of a full 4' x 8' would be about right, or do you need larger...or is that bigger than the bulk of what you do? I'd guess as...
  4. KR3 Banned for Life ? ? ?

Although I'm currently undecided about 'banned for life' the pic posted was NOT what you say there.....it was a man performing said act on a he-she, so tell me how appropriate THAT is?! You must have seen a different version than I did or something.
  5. Which CNC table

Though I don't have one, have always been intrigued by the ShopBot PRTalpha routers. www.shopbottools.com
  6. AVG ANTI VIRUS Firewall Software DON'T PAY 4 IT!

I've been using Avast for a while now and it seems pretty good, but I haven't had to test it really!
  7. BNI ? Pros, Cons, Indifference?

I don't belong to BNI, but I have been part of LeTip for about 4 years now. We get a lot of business from it and have made very close friends with several in the groups. Find a local chapter and check it out. http://www.letip.com/
  8. D&K EXP 62 Plus Laminator

Looks good, how much are they? Cool it's USA made, so it says anyway. You likely don't need a thermal machine unless you have a specific application in mind, though having a low-heat top roller does help "set" the laminate, but isn't totally necessary.
  9. Cutting Magnets on versacamm

    Don't...hard on the machine.
  10. What kind of digital camera do you have?

I've been really happy with my Canon PowerShot A620 (7.1MP), but it does not output in either RAW or TIFF, just JPG. What I like about it is the screen swivels around so you can see what you are shooting when held at odd angles. I think it was about $250 a year or so ago.
  11. Printer Suggestions

I thnk Stan B had something perfect for this a while back...used big ol' markers I think.
  12. How much is you rent

I don't have a storefront, but have looked into it. Most commercial spaces are about a buck a foot or a bit more plus triple-net as they call it around here (or $12 a foot depending on how you look at it). Nicer locations can go for much higher. There is a new little strip of about 5 or 6...
  13. Can you print vynil with an epson or HP printer

The HP 5500 (and it's successors) has the option of using UV inks to get some outdoor durability. The tradeoff is not quite as good of color representation, but since it is a 6-color machine (many eco-sol printers are 4-color) you do get some better colors anyway. Still, the mat'l costs are...
  14. Can you print vynil with an epson or HP printer

You can print on coated VINYL with printers such as the HP5500, but the associated mat'l costs are a bit higher.
  15. clean up scanned image

Pretty sure that the original comment was totally tongue-in-cheek!
  16. Hello from a new Merchant Supplier

Agreed, really nice intro there! Cool to have someone not in the sign business specifically, but has an interest just to learn about it, and also has an indirectly-related field. Neat! Hey, I just put together a simple server with the new OS...Windows Home Server. I know this is nothing...
  17. solid color prints shaded stripes

Are the lines perpendicular or parallel to the head travel? If perp., then could be too much heat. If parallel, then could be a slightly blocked head damper. I've had these issues off and on for what seems like forever, which is more frustrating than if it were always.
  18. Printing Double-Sided Banner on JV3-130SPII... Aneurysm Ensues

Not using the same setup as you, but maybe the same philosphy will work. I don't seem to have any issues with getting it to print in the center of the media, so that I cannot help with. To align the 2nd side, I use a small needle to put a hole thru the mat'l where I want my Base Point to be...
