  7. There Goes The Neighborhood !

Local Ford dealer had to put racing stripes on a new Mustang, they screwed up the first set and had to reorder. Then they had me install them. The decals cost the DEALER something like $500 for the "kit" that they send from Detroit. And they expect them to install it. I don't see how they are...
  8. Collecting money....

I think I'm gonna subscribe to the big business theory of paying for my bills. I'll take the electricty, my water, my cable, my cell phone, and all my other misc. bills/utilities and inform them that my payment schedual is 90-120 days plus 2 weeks for shipping. Why should we as "the little...
  9. Wrap layout

Exactly what I was thinking! And as it stands - I think I've seen these guys (DeSigns) on here posting stuff about their work. Don't send them anything in a vector workable format! This sounds like they want some free work done...

WALL NOODLE SUCKS! We have a JV3 160 and we haven't had a single print on MacTacs wall noodle stay up. Out gased for over a weekend, applied, peeled in a couple of days. Printed with .25" white border out gased for a weekend applied on monday - peeled in couple of days. We ended up giving up...
  13. Copying files and settings to a new PC.

Try this... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/features/easy-transfer.aspx I just googled Windows Data transfer and this was the #1 listing. But there was of course a ton of other links as well.
  14. Two-faced van

Not necessaryily - just use View through for the window - it will look different color wise but that happens. Just explain that the material and effect is different but it still gets the point across.

Germaki - this is the burnished test that has been mentioned earlyier in this post:
  16. "OverSpray" issues with my Mimaki JV3-160SP

I was having a very very simalar problem for a long time. My Cyan head was overspraying when we started the printer but then would clear up to a much more managable look. I did the damper swap, did nothing, did a data cable swap to see if it was a data issue. I would think that you would need to...
  17. Customers banner...What do you think?

First off its not pulled apart until its off the "grill" - Most times its cooked in a smoker unit and then grilled to finish. Just because its called BBQ doesn't mean its on a grill. Hamburgers are grilled/BBQed but aren't BBQ. Same with Chicken - that can be grilled/BBQed but ISN'T BBQ unless...
  18. Mimaki JV3 replaced dampers, now nothing on test print!?

This is what I was going to suggest. When I did my damper swap I had a similar problem - wasn't down as long as you were/are but I couldn't get the head primed just from the Ink Fillup option. SO I did the hard suck from the pumping station and kept sucking/pulling until I had ink Coming through...
  19. Wrap over existing vinyl?

This disgusts me...I hate people who take short cuts and don't want to do the job right. If you aren't a sign shop then why are you doing sign work? Of course the installer doesn't care - he's not the one responsible when the job fails - AND IT WILL FAIL. He just does what he's told to do. I...
