  1. what materials

Honestly nothing is going to protect 100%. Thats a vulnerable area to all kinds of attacks. Rain/Sleet/Salt during winter and spring. Rocks and other debris all year round. Just tell him that you can put mud flaps, and "protective" laminate on it but nothing is going to be fool proof or 100%...
  2. Now...A tip for the Sign Guys!!

I can think of a couple reason why he would leave her. Annistion is hot for sure but how can you compete or compare her to Angelina...
  3. Explain your avatar / name

Thee Alan Alldredge?? Seriously - I've seen your work before -amazing sculpture and metal work - I dabbled in some Intaglio and metal working when I was in college and really enjoyed it, but you take it to a new level of metal work. With printing and usage of patinas...impressive...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uil02iUVs3s 80's industrial was so underated and yet so influential to 90's rock.
  7. Explain your avatar / name

Racer X was the unknown racer. No one knew his true Identity - or at least for a while anyways - So since most of you don't know who I am or my true Identity, I am Wrapper X the unknown Wrapper.
  8. Advice on Hiring a Designer

As an employee - I feel that a non compete contract is complete BS! If I get hired and oh wait after a month I realize me and the new job don't get along. For whatever reason, I am now stuck into some contract that says if I quit or whatever, I can't work in the same field in my area for a...

  10. took the cat to the vet!!!

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Good to see the medical experts screwing us with our animals too.
  11. How would you deal with this problem??

I would show her the proof, unfortunetly showing that it was wrong in the proof and that she unfortunetly approved it. (The funny thing with spelling mistakes is that our brains have been trained to recognize a word and its meaning before we actually read it. (Its how speed readers work I...
  12. bit of a problem

I would not go out of your way to make this job work. Especially since it doesn't seem like your boss is willing to go out of his way to make it easier on you. AND if you do somehow make this work, then he will know that he can get away with cheap vinyl for wrap jobs and expect you to make it...
  13. What is this banner framing system?

    Sorry, I've never seen it...
  14. bit of a problem

"wrap" away - you gave your two cents to your boss, if he wants to use crappy matterial and the customer wants a cheap job, then don't worry about it. Do what you do, and when it turns out like crap, you will have ground to stand on about your objections. Like you said, you get paid by the hour...
  15. MOTORCYCLE WRAP(honda GL1800)

I would avoid the "wrap" and go with more of a cut graphics approach. The body is to bulky - like a bunch of balls or spheres attached to a bike chassis/frame. And we all know you can't wrap a ball with a single sheet of vinyl. Airbrush is a great way to go about it.
  16. Daughter's College Art Project

For a first attempt...this is pretty good. And yes, if you had done it for her, she would not have learned a thing. Tell her to keep practicing and never stop expanding.
  17. Daughter's College Art Project

:thumb: Exactly what I was thinking.
  18. Daughter's College Art Project

How vintagey does she wanna go? She should referance old posters from the late 1800's and early 1900's for truely vintage classic graphic design and poster looks. Thats when the age of hand made posters were where it was at. They were the professional poster creators.
  19. Daughter's College Art Project

It looks like some of the lighting and perspectives of the sign you are painting don't match with the surrounding images. It looks too obviously photoshopped. The paint brushes on the side are clearly clone stamped - maybe try using some of her own photo elements. Maybe have her take her own...
  20. JV3 160 Print Issues

I found an adapter that fits better into the damper (while attached to the line) so I used that and plugged that in and pulled, the first damper stalled for a sec or two then ink flooded the fill. The 2nd damper didn't work so much. Seemed ink would start to fill but then would return into the...
