To get one shipped here in Canada for $5000 would be a good price but in the States some have gone cheaper on Ebay a few months back. In USD they were around $3000 to $4000. Six or eight months ago they were as low as $2500 range. If it's converted to solvent it might be worth it. As a...
I'm bringing back a bit of an old thread.....
I have just installed the 11/10 inks in my CJ 500 after doing the final change over from waterbased to solvent. As far as smell goes they are not bad at all. Mine are eco sol so if others had issues with strong smell is it possible they changed...
This is more for anyone following this post and was not clear on the crop mark thing.
On the Cj 500 you can print crop marks (two in the front, right and left sides of the page, and one on the back right of the print job). From there once the job was printed you can remove it and laminate then...
We might be talking two different units. The SC500 and CJ500 are the same units, just the SC had some solvent parts to allow the ink change to solvent. There is even a switch on the main board to go from a CJ 500 or to a SC 500. Also the first SC 500 units did not have heaters and did not print...
In your regular menu if you go about 6 places down you should hit the crop mark area to enable or disable it. You can also see a black bump under the cutter head carriage where the sensor is. Again I would think the SC 500 would be identical. Back to the speed issue, if you do a large volume...
On my CJ 500 the manual says there is an automatic registration mark setting. It says you just need to re load the material after lamination on the same roller area and line the cutter head to the approximate line of where the registration marks are and it will do it automatically from there. So...
Well I just finished the conversion over to an eco sol ink on my CJ500 and I made my own heater plates. I am thrilled with how this unit is working. If you already have heaters and it's working good then to be in the $4000 to $6000 CND would not be out of the question. As of late some have...
In the manual there is a section on cleaning out the ink lines and removing ink carts etc. for shipping.
I did have a FJ 42 shipped to me with inks still in place and nothing major done to it but it had already sat for many months and some carts were dried out. If the unit is only in transit...
I had similar problems but I was using another companies ink and the standard profiles were not working. I made a profile with the xrite xtreme and could not get it to accept it. It will load it to a point but not let you bring it up as an output ( like you said)
I never got a for sure...
Can you attach a syringe to the capping station and draw the syringe and listen for air leak. If you get resistance and ink in the syringe the caps are set fine.
Also is the drain line from the pump clear and unblocked? By putting some cleaning fluid in the syringe and attach it to the drain...
As far as the adobe 1998 profiles VS sRGB 1966 I have found that if the original file is in Adobe 1998 then I use the same in the rip. The files in sRGB won't have as good of a color gamutt but most cameras use this as their standard profile and you will have a bit of a color change if you use...
I am taking out some print heads from a CJ 500 that are in good shape and had been running Aqueous inks. I will use one in my FJ 42 right away but the other I want to clean it and store it away. ( I am putting solvent into the CJ and will put new heads in for that)
My question is how to store...
I don't use versa works but I would think it's similar to the rest. When I rip and print it starts printing sooner but then the rip takes longer and at times the printing caught up to the rip and all slowed down... (I know... on a CJ 500 to slow down even more, is almost a stop)
The speed of...
Thank you for your info. My one red or almost orange (color oring) won't stay in place. It pops up. Any one else finding one color is better than the other?
Bump.... again for the epson 3000 print heads
Why would some dampers fit more loose than others?
There is a big difference in price on dampers on different sites. Is this the reason some are cheaper and some more $$ ?
With regards to the Epson 3000 print heads, are there some dampers that fit a little more loose? I have had some dampers come with a red o-ring inside and now some with a blue o-ring. The original had a black o-ring but I assume they were for the waterbased inks. The ones with a red o-ring...
ya the 15" is a bad size for the CJ. The only way to do this would be leave the far right pinch roller some where over the right roller. Set your 15" material so the left edge is on the 3rd roller from the left and use the center roller on the 4th roller. You will have about 2 inches of vinyl...
