Gypsy - We just say, if you pay us several thousand dollars for your web site, brochure, stationery- whatever - we also will burn a CD with all the files we used to execute your job. We just consider that to be the right thing to do, and they are free to go elsewhere for reprints, or go to...
  2. Intellectual Property and Copyright Theft In Our Industry.

My lawyer sent out three cease and desist letters this week to the owners of some other sign companies, and start-up dot com's that stole our artwork. The C&D was also sent to the hosting companies as well, which bear responsibility for showing copyright-infringed artwork on their servers. I...

  14. New Logo

True. I recently banged out a quick logo for a friend. Took me about two hours or so for this quickie, but my friend said 'Wow, you did that in two hours?' To which I replied - "Yeh it only took me two hours and 15 years!" I liked that quote so much I used it our facebook fan page. As...

The client was happy, so what's the problem?
  16. Logo Design

Joe's is definitely cool. I might have slightly scaled the icon in proportion to the lettering so the lettering was perhaps the more dominant of the two design elements, but that's probably more of my personal opinion. And instead of having depth on signs, I might just make it flat, reversed...

Thanks for the info on personal FB pages Dan. You probably don't want to use your business setup as a personal page. FB eventually catches on to that, and plus it makes it so people have to 'friend' you instead of 'fan' you -

Welcome. Congrats on going after what you believe in. Sounds like you are taking the right steps to build a better life, rather than laying down, and giving up, or worse, settling. You might be interested in downloading some of my articles in SC also, as they may also give you some insight on...
  19. How to integrate blog posts and or facebook updates?

On the bottom left of our site we feed our twitter and FB fan pages. You can get the code to insert into your HTML from Facebook on your fan page (to the best of my knowledge, you can't feed a personal page - but I could be wrong).
