  1. How to feed out media for cutting?

This just doesn't cut it. Tried this, thinking it's just this simple but it really isn't. You may think it is straight, but it always finds a way to walk 1/4 to 1/2 an inch, especially when feeding out 15' of vinyl. The media flanges are the way to go for long cut vinyl jobs!
  2. How to feed out media for cutting?

FYI, I have also found that using the media flanges that were provided with the printer help tremendously, rolls out 10 feet without walking more than 1/8"
  3. How to feed out media for cutting?

Actually I think I figured it out. Under Menu then Sheet Remain, you can put in 1 foot increments for the amount left on a sheet. Then back to set up, I hit base point, then down arrow to feed, and next to the letter L you will see the initial amount entered decrease until you reach 0 ft...
  4. How to feed out media for cutting?

How will you know 10 feet has spooled out? There is no data on the printers screen letting me know the amount being fed. Do I have to manually measure?
  5. How to feed out media for cutting?

Does anybody know how to feed about 10 feet of cut vinyl on the Roland SJ Pro III 540? The Users manual has nothing. I want to make sure the media does not walk left or right off the rollers, ending up contour cutting off the side of the media, had it happen before. Would like to feed it out...
  6. 10 mil poster paper for Roland

Do they offer a heavier paper such as a 10 mil and is it compatible with the Roland SJ PRO III?
  7. 10 mil poster paper for Roland

Is this comparable to a 10 mil poster paper in weight and thickness? I may have to order a sample roll and try!
  8. 10 mil poster paper for Roland

I'm looking for a heavier paper for indoor poster use, i guess for POP type signage. Intellicoat has a 10mil/212 gram paper but recommends printing only with true solvent inks, not eco-solvent. Oce' carries the same exact paper, but from my understanding, they buy it directly from Intellicoat...
  9. 10 mil poster paper for Roland

I'm looking for a 10 mil poster paper that would have a profile to go along with it for the Roland Soljet Pro III XC-540 printer. Any suggestions would be helpful!!!
  10. Oce' 10 mil poster paper ICC Profile needed!

Unfortunately Intellicoat recommends not using Eco-Solvent machines such as the Roland to print on this. They don't even have a profile for the GFIOP212SIJ media for the Roland, which is the Oce' HPSTRSOL media. I wonder if Feller's will take the roll back???
  11. Oce' 10 mil poster paper ICC Profile needed!

Has any body tried printing on Oce' HPSTERSOL 10 mil poster paper on their Roland? I run a Sol Jet Pro lll xc-540. I ordered a whole roll from fellers before looking for an ICC profile. Big mistake! The Oce' website has a profile for the Soljet Pro ll and VersaCamm printers but none for the...
  12. Help with printed contour cut wall graphics

This help couldn't have come at a better time. The graphic I installed just on Friday is already edge curling. I may need to just use a bit of spray adhesive to tack the edges down. Unless there are any other suggestions that might be better.
  13. Help with printed contour cut wall graphics

My thoughts precisely. I tried to explain this to the customer, but he is one of those "know-it-all" stubborn types!
  14. Help with printed contour cut wall graphics

I just finished installing the graphic printed on 3651. with 210 overlaminate. I waited nearly 72 hours before laminating and contour cutting. I used no transfer tape to install. The client lightly sanded the surface himself and insisted I just try installing the graphic. As of now, it is...
  15. Help with printed contour cut wall graphics

Is this vinyl solvent printable or is is just cut vinyl?
  16. Help with printed contour cut wall graphics

The client wants me to just sand the wall where the area of the graphic will go to rough up the area. He thinks the graphic will adhere easier. Is this logical? Will it even work? In my opinion it won't. Any advice?
  17. Help with printed contour cut wall graphics

The wall was painted months ago. The graphics do not need to be removed. This is why I originally used Oracal 3651 with a permanent adhesive. Is the Arlon 8000 a permanent adhesive as well?
  18. Help with printed contour cut wall graphics

I've read all the information about this subject that I could find on this site and just have a few specific issues and questions I need help with. Last week I had a job to apply some printed contour cut graphics to an interior painted wall. This graphic is about 90" w x 48" h. I printed on...
  19. Best method for removal of old vinyl?

Thanks, I was really just trying narrow down my time frame in order to price the removal reasonably for my customer. I have a feeling this vinyl will chip off like paint, a little rapid remover and a razor blade, and the job won't take long. Hell, might even try a $5.00 can of that aircraft...
