  1. how would you do this?

Maybe 2" wide strips of 040 aluminum behind the seams with double sided tape to keep them flush with each other. Or a 1/2" strip of white vinyl after install to hide the seams. Wouldn't be very noticable if the whites matched.

  3. Double sided clear adhesive sheets

This may or may not help. Years ago I used a product called "print mount" which had adhesive on both sides. We usually applied it to the back of paper prints to give them an adhesive back for mounting to foamboard, etc... So basically it was just a layer of adhesive. Don't remember if the...
  4. dark grey printing brownish

thank you guys for all the help. I will try the cap tops and see if that helps....they need replaced anyway, and not much out of pocket compared to a print head. I don't see it being a profile problem either. Either the black head, cable or something. Have also emptied three of my ink tanks...

Cleaned the encoder strip again today...was one of the first things tried, and it didn't help any. The two day head soak didn't seem to help the black clear up any. Also tried the cleaning swab and solution on the head, and that didn't make any difference. The missing nozzles in the black...

The black printhead problem started from a head strike about five years ago on banner material. Has printed fine since, but I always print in HQ mode. I've never changed the captops, it never showed symptoms of needing to. Have always done a manual cleaning at least once a week. Have replaced...

I have tried several other things today with no luck. The overnight head soak didn't seem to help much with the nonfiring nozzles. 11. Sending Alumalite Through a Seal Laminator

Alumalite/Alumacorr might crush under pressure, but for the Dibond/MaxMetal materials I got my hands on one of the wifes wooden rolling pins. I usually just cut it with a knife, and it leaves a little ridge, run the rolling pin down the edge and it rolls it over pretty nice without filing. Have...

  14. dark grey printing brownish

Pulled up a job today I have printed several times that has a dark grey background. Set it to print, came back and the dark grey is brown. Did a nozzle check and the black isn't very good, but I knew it wouldn't be. Had a head strike a few years ago, and some nozzles havn't fired since, but it...
  15. opinion .25" alumalite

If I remember right, the 1/4" Alumalite is rated for over 100mph winds. (Don't think the one sided Econolite has this rating.) I have made several signs using this material with no supports top or bottom. I put about 2" deep slots in the posts to slip the ends of the sign into. Then put about...

On the odd shaped decals, after it had the transfer tape applied, I go to the file in corel, and pull down a guideline across the image somewhere to give me the straight line, and one at center.
