  1. Mosh's Font.

Yup. I missed it. Didn't realize that was a link to the same font... :banghead:
  2. Mosh's Font.

There must be inside information that I'm missing, but there is a similar typeface called "Mosh." http://www.misprintedtype.com/fonts/comercial/mosh-50-off/
  3. My logo... thoughts?

Sophia Script is the Papyrus for sign designers. Can't keep our hands off it can we?
  4. looking for real chalk boards

Not necessarily wholesale, but I recently ordered some from the site below. They were nice, I liked being able to set the frame size as well as the over all size. http://www.billyboardsmfg.com/
  5. Vinyl Express Q54 and ARMS!!!!!!

That's the one. I think ours were at 70 and 90 or something. Currently were at 50/50 and it works great. No registration issues, no failed plots for some time now.
  6. Long Lasting Outdoor Signage

Izone/Fossil/others wouldn't work here. The signs would need to be on .080" aluminum. Would solvent on cast vinyl really be better than direct print on aluminum? We've done direct print with graffiti lam and it has worked great, but only a few years out in those tests.
  7. Paint Peeling on Vehicle Brought in

Decision was made yesterday. They're taking it to a body shop. We asked that all failing paint be removed, and bare metal be sealed somehow. Once those two criteria are met we will apply the wrap. Client was happy with this approach as well as the consultation/information provided. Ryan
  8. Long Lasting Outdoor Signage

Working on a project that requires we have signs that last 8-10 years on posts outdoors. Signs include items like maps, small logos, and PMS colors, making cut vinyl a very difficult way to produce. In addition, we will most likely need graffiti lam. The project lends itself to printing, but...
  9. Paint Peeling on Vehicle Brought in

Sounds like one option. Body shop tells me they'd have to strip the whole vehicle and repaint. Seems like a bit of overkill, but then again not my area of expertise, and I don't know how much more of the paint is going to fail in the next 2-3 years.
  10. Paint Peeling on Vehicle Brought in

We had a client drop off a van for a full wrap this morning. Our team was cleaning it when they came to me and had me look at a few problem areas. Looks like there are several areas where the paint isn't even bonded to the vehicle. I've attached some photos, one of the areas is were they were...
  11. Phone calls

Ahh. Yes, very annoying. Also @Rick, I too have learned the importance of the follow up email. It's amazing how you can be on the same page as someone on the phone, but then later find totally different expectations. Without that follow up email to point at later on it turns into he said/she...
  12. Phone calls

Perhaps you, similarly, could have called the other party once you saw the conversation descending into an email session?
  13. Most magnetic magnets?

Small PVC (or other) signs with rare earth magnets permanently affixed to the back?
  14. Vinyl Express Q54 and ARMS!!!!!!

We used to have similar issues. It was really bad when working with laminated vinyl, reflective vinyl, or any other tough to read media. Ultimately I set the sensor value lower and haven't had a problem since (6+ months). After fighting it for about a year I was amazed the one setting we changed...
  15. Refinishing an Aluminum Sign

Can't flip, there is mounting hardware around the perimeter, riveted on (see attached photo). New panel would have to be painted as well. Sheeting with vinyl would have it looking different than the rest of the sign, so I think we may be stuck with that final option.
  16. Refinishing an Aluminum Sign

Hello, We are currently replacing graphics on an aluminum panel that fits into a large sign. The whole sign has 6 separate signage areas, 2 are large LED display. 2 need graphics replaced that sit above the LED. The old graphics were painted on. Several attempts to strip the top layer of paint...
  17. Premature Print Fading

How about latex, would it have this issue? I feel it is important to let clients know this going forward. Communication may be tricky, especially with other shops not conveying such information. I'd like to be able to say "any wrap will have this issue," but may be wrong if other print...
  18. Premature Print Fading

We do fleet graphics for a client, and the design has an element on the hood. We got one back in that we did 1 year ago from a body shop that had some repairs done and needed partial graphics replaced. I noticed the hood graphic looked noticeably faded. I took a pre-printed one we had in stock...
  19. MS Word Art

Microsoft files are tough. Both word and publisher tend to cause problems. Even a PDF exported from publisher will cause issues with Onyx, many times photos dropping out, but only when printed (preview looks fine).
