  2. HP DesignJet 5500 42"

    I'm in Hawaii and if we put something out it's almost certain to be in direct sunlight at some point during the day. Even with UV inks and laminate I would promise more than a few months before visible fading is apparent. Of course your mileage may vary. I do use it for outdoor banners but...

  6. HP DesignJet 5500 42"

    Probably not an ideal choice for wraps. The UV is a pigment base and the printer is an inkjet. It's a great printer but better suited for short term/interior products. Also if the printer is only advertised as "available with UV" that means it's probably currently rigged for dye. To convert...

  10. Logo from Istock

    As I see it you're not marking up the cost of the logo, you're just going to pass the cost onto him. What you would will be charging is a design fee for modifying the logo. So, the customer is buying the logo along with your services in changing it. Am I off base here?
  11. Who does this??

    Desaturate in photoshop then bump the contrast to max. save and import into illustrator or coreldraw and trace. For cleaner lines, you can manually trace from the original image. You'll need to make the judgement calls on what stays and whats go in this case though.
  12. Label printing for small bags

    vinyl isn't good through a laser printer due to the heat involved. You can buy crack-n-peel laser stock, unfortunately at the size specified, you'll only be able to get 3-up on letter size. you might also look at laser printable acetates. or sub it out :D

  14. =modify envelope in coreldraw?

  15. =modify envelope in coreldraw?

    no, no, they're asking if there is something equivalent to the corel's envelope tool in flexi. btw, I don't believe there is. Flexi will do text on paths put I haven't found anything it that will envelope text into various shapes. If you have corel, do it there and save as EPS for flexi.
  16. Roland revolutionary new wide-format inkjet printer?

    :doh: didn't catch the drop down menu in upper right.
  17. another font id, and whomever gets this

    jiarby the thumbnail is taken from the corporate media files (which is an Illustrator EPS), so I don't believe the logo is the issue. I'm guess it needs some additional text to match the logo.
  18. Roland revolutionary new wide-format inkjet printer?
