  1. Vinyl that lights black at night??

We very rarely use black translucent, though on occasion we have, at the clients request. Most people understand, once you explain it to them, that black translucent will not give them black when lit, it's more of a grey or muddy brown. We have a display in the shop showing this. We have had a...

Thanks for the responses guys. I will pass Gerald's contact info on to our purchaser. Even with the exchange that is a very reasonable price. Mark
  3. Anapurna UV lamps?

Hi. Question for all you Agfa Anapurna owners/users...... where are you buying your replacement UV lamps? How much are you paying? We need to order some for our printer, and we were quoted $1400 each here in Canada!! Thanks
  4. why does corel pick up the ghost lines when flexi doesnt

Emil. To be fair, you did not indicate you are "new to the sign making world". Did some people go a little far in condemning you? Maybe, maybe not, but a little common sense should have told you that the watermark is there for a reason. Lesson learned? BTW :Welcome: Mark
  5. Stickers (decals)?

For something that is going to be given away, and probably thrown out, or stuck in a drawer somewhere, I would use an economical vinyl and no lam! Mark

  13. Printing and Contour cutting on R Tape Smooth Silver

Had a similar issue with our Roland. I just laid a strip of white vinyl at the leading edge of the silver vinyl, and the front crop marks printed on that. Once it found the front ones it didn't have a problem finding the back ones. Good luck. Mark
  14. Best Etched Vinyl

Never tried it, but I heard Hexis was good. Worth a try if you can get a sample. Mark
  15. Serious Question...................................

If the "Enable Advanced Settings" box is checked, as in Gino's screen shot, you are overriding the printers CUTTING settings. If it is unchecked, then whatever setting you have on your printer is used for cutting. Mark
  16. Serious Question...................................

It is the off set for the cutting blade. Usually set at the printer, but looking at your settings, you have Versaworks set to override the printer settings. Offset setting depends on the blade you have.... 45 degree or 60 degree. 45 degree blade is typically set at .250 Check this out...

  18. New Versaworks DUAL Rip?

I hope you are right. I sent an email to Roland support to confirm. It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice if we could operate all of our printers from one RIP. Mark
  19. New Versaworks DUAL Rip?

Versaworks does, BUT.... Versaworks DUAL, apparently does not support older printers. It is packaged with the new Roland EJ-640.
  20. Problems with coroplast

Hi myront. To answer your original, quite reasonable, question, no, we have had no issues, but we order from Grimco, who deliver to us on their own truck every week. If we get bad stuff, (very rare) it just goes right back on their truck, no matter how much we paid for it. :) As other people...
