  1. Laser Engraved plaque needed

Maybe try an impact printer... roland makes some smaller ones for pendants, etc... but im sure there's a larger scale version out there somewhere that can do this.
  2. Protip

If you get solvent ink on your skin, use Purell hand sanitizer to clean it off. It's active ingredient is alcohol, so i worked really well for me when soap and water did nothing.
  3. A proposterous conundrum

I put all new carts in just now, and now it's fine. So MachServTech's theory seems to be holding true... i dont really want to waste 1/2 cartridge of cyan just because of this stupid issue,... I'll try and up the cleaning sched and see if that helps. Thanks all!
  4. I need two CAD drawings converted please!

I pulled the BayTowne logos from some hidden layers, dumped all the rest of the drawings and converted to EPS. You should have it in your email. -Ryan
  5. A proposterous conundrum

The first few inches of cyan print has black in it... then as it prints, it slowly goes back to 100% cyan. I changed the dampers and captop thinking i had a bad damper, and was getting backflow of black ink into the cyan side of the head... Still doing it... So i dumped cleaning fluid in...
  6. Help, help! xc-540 Head - Man Down

Ahh... i wonder if mine is a combustible part... i dont really want fire in my machine! :)
  7. Help, help! xc-540 Head - Man Down

be extremely careful touching the printhead... the nozzles are piezo electric and very sensitive to physical force. When i got my machine the test prints looked just like yours... i took the print heads out, set them in a glass dish that had about 1/8" of solvent in it, and ensured that nothing...
  8. Help, help! xc-540 Head - Man Down

Sounds like you have a bad cap top. If the cap top isnt sealing correctly it cant pull enough vaccum to perform the aggressive head cleaning. You will likely need a new cap top (About $35-40) and a good head soaking to get things rolling again.
  9. Looking to outsource some 24x24" Coro prints

The customer had a bad experience with another shop in the past where the vinyl started peeling from the coro after a very short time. No amount of convincing that correctly applied print wouldnt lift like that could sway their stance of wanting direct to coro printing. Thanks Merritt ! I'll...
  10. Looking to outsource some 24x24" Coro prints

Following your genius thread on undercutting everyone and the rants that followed... you really have no room to talk about stupidity. It's a serious condition.
  11. Looking to outsource some 24x24" Coro prints

I tried calling a few merchant members... but it's late, so maybe someone's trolling the forums :) I have a customer that wants direct to coro printing (i already tried to get them to just let me print on vinyl then apply). 24"x24" 4mm white coro, 4 different designs 3 of each Full...

  16. Contour cut calibration

Yeah, the new heads and tensioning... and a full diagnostic was done 2 months ago by a Roland tech. Seems odd that if a motor encoder was bad, that it would work fine in Flexi, though, but im not an expert by a long shot. Oh... and cuts are off in scan
  17. ElevenTen_Color

A big Thank-You to Robert at ElevenTen for the fast turn-around replacing my faulty cartridge. The replacement works like a charm!
  18. Contour cut calibration

Here's my rant: :) If i print / cut from Versaworks... i have to change my Print/Cut calibration or it offsets the contour cut. BUT... if i print/cut from Flexi... i have to put the calibration back to 0,0 and it cuts flawlessly. I know some are thinking "so use flexi?!" To be...
